Don't know if anybody else noticed on Monday night, but after reporting the "panel found no political agenda", CBS Evening News ran a second piece on others who disagree. They proceeded to show a Fox News clip followed by a Rush Limbaugh clip, noting: "On talk TV and radio, political bias was item number one." (I think the Fox News clip was of Neil Cavuto) So Fox News is now "Talk TV." While CBS continues to deny any bias, they smear Fox News as not being a credible news source, but putting it in the same category as Rush Limbaugh.
Last thing I remember seeing on CBS: Janet Jackson's boob...
"So Fox News is now "Talk TV." While CBS continues to deny any bias, they smear Fox News as not being a credible news source, but putting it in the same category as Rush Limbaugh."
I don't think "putting it in the same
category as Rush Limbaugh." is a smear
against FNC.
Lotsa folks seem to like both. ;o)
However, calling it "Talk TV" seems to
be a "conditioning" effort.
It won't work.
A belated welcome to Free Republic. ;o)
Fox is making money off good political discussion while Dan Rather goes off into the sunset.
It is a smear. Rush Limbaugh is an admitted conservative talk radio show. Fox News is an objective news organization. Putting them in the same category implies that Fox News is the biased one, not CBS. I find it funny how the libs see ONE cable news station as such a threat to their stronghold of the media.
A belated welcome to Free Republic. ;o)
What makes you think I'm new to FR?
Where is the investigation who forged RATher documents? Falsifying government/military document with forged signature is OK?
Does anyone actually watch CBS?
Dan Rather has been regarded by many as a foolish clown for a long time. I kind of hate to see him go. The more support the other side gets from foolish clowns, the better.
The last time I watched Cee BS, some guy named Walter was doing the news and Lucy and RIcky were going to have their first baby!
CBS is irrelevant. Who cares what they say!
But I love seeing him go out in disgrace, rather than retiring gracefully. A little payback for what they did to Nixon, the media gets a taste of their own medicine.
"However, calling it "Talk TV" seems to
be a "conditioning" effort."
THAT is my point. It's a conditioning
effort on the Lib TV's part. They are
trying to discredit it. However, it is
NOT a smear.
"I find it funny how the libs see ONE cable news station as such a threat to their stronghold of the media."
Ain't it a grand sight to behold? ;o)
"What makes you think I'm new to FR?"

Retread? Or friendly? ;o)
Oh is Dan seeing her now?
Heh heh heh...
The last spurt from a dying Narwhale. Let them have their fun, while their ship crashes into the 'berg the band plays on.
Be of good cheer...they think they are winning.
Cavuto gives an opinion, and states very clearly it is his opinion.
Rush!!! We listen because he has an opinion!
CBS can't decide on a definition of "opinon" and so pretends it doesn't have one.
Discrediting, smearing....same difference.
Okay, so I am new. But I don't know what 'retread' means, as the dictionary defines it as "A worn automoblie tire fitted with a new tread." So I've gotta go with friendly.
Tabloid news organizations like CBS are more accurately compared to Weekly World News.
new = news
