Does anyone in CA ever think to avoid building at sites where there are geologic hazards?

Good find! This slide can't be considered an Act of God -- more like stepping in front of a moving train. It can't stop and the only thing to do is get out of the way.
Arnold was there yesterday -- what did he promise the residents in the way of support to rebuild their homes? If he did anything except point the way to the Red Cross shelters, the taxpayers of CA should make their views known, just as the scientists made theirs known 10 years ago.
