Does anyone in CA ever think to avoid building at sites where there are geologic hazards?

You are so corect. When ou build you houses on cliffs or at the bottom of a dirt mountain, with no trees or roots, what do you expect? I am so tired of having to feel Californian's pain every other year because they are stupid. It is a dirt mountain for petes sake.

The residents of this burg are bent on rebuilding. Plus they want the government to fix the mountain so it doesn't crumble anymore.

I understand their desire to remain, but why should I pay for their stupidity and stubbornness?
