Kid Rock, the vulgar rock-rapper who initially had been lined up to headline the youth concert next week as part of the inauguration festivities for President Bush, will not be apppearing after all. "He's not performing," a spokesman for the Presidential Inauguration Committee confirmed for WND. No further information about the cancellation of Kid Rock was available at press time. Word that the rapper will not join JoJo and Hilary Duff as performers at the Jan. 18 concert, which will be hosted by Bush twins Barbara and Jenna, comes after WorldNetDaily and other outlets publicized the fact that the committee was planning to feature Kid Rock, which caused several pro-family organizations to ask their supporters to protest his appearance. That's a mistake. I'm not a big Kid Rock fan, but he supports the President and the troops. As long as he kept it clean, he should perform.
The troops love him.
"I don't see what the big deal is "
He goes against our 'moral values'??
Bah! Should have let him perform. Whimps.
He also makes fun of Laura Bush in one of his songs.
``He goes against our 'moral values'??``
Speak for yourself. Bitches, hos and Jack Daniels is exactly the fabric I'm cut from. Woooohooooo, 3 days till the weekend. PS ... don't tell my wife.
Aw Man, I hope Kid Rock figures out why you want to hate him. :^D
I agree. Kid Rock music may or may not be ok for private consumption, but not acceptable for Inaugural events for the Republican party.
We wussed out on this one.
Thee old fuddy duddies have won.
I am reminded why I can't stand WorldNetDaily.
Well that's too bad. He is a staunch supporter of Pres Bush, and our troops. He is a conservative thinker. He might have 'raunchy' lyrics, but I think of him as a sort of young Ted Nugent. Wild enough in his younger days, but conservative and intelligent and outspoken. Kid Rock has that potential. I have a feeling he would have been thrilled to be included, and would have kept his appearance 'clean'. Some of the lyrics aside, he's good, too.
I agree completely.
Are you sure you're not a closet dem?
I got the "email the inaugural chairman in protest" from the AFA. I edited out their boilerplate text in their submission form, and put in my own message- that being that I think they should let him perform.
Vulgar? What planet they from? Last time I saw that guy he was singing country songs.
Oh, well. I though his support of Bush and of our troops would be enough. I guess not.
Sorry to hear this. He is a great supporter of the President and the USA
Seriously?
You're interested enough to post an article on this, but you have never read even one of the many columns or essays detailing his lyrics, what he represents, what he stands for, and why people see him as an inappropriate performer at this President's inauguration?
I mean, it'd be one thing to say you have a different view; but you're actually telling us all you have no idea why people object to him?
Where have you been? Was the weather nice there?
Dan
