California atheist Michael Newdow's lawsuit to block prayer at President Bush's inauguration has no merit, contends the American Center for Law and Justice, which filed a friend-of-the-court brief arguing the religious invocation is constitutional.
Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the ACLJ, called Newdow's challenge a "legally flawed" attempt to "remove a time-honored tradition going back to the nation's first president." ....

The ACLU is effective in large part by being a 500-pound gorilla, in perception or in reality.
The only effective counterweight is a single organization of comparable size and weight.
Why is the opposition so fractionalized?
Actually the ACLJ is the biggest fighter of them all. I don't know why it is so fractionalized, but at least there are some organizations willing to fight.
This man needs a girlfriend, or a boyfriend, or a dog, or SOMETHING. How sad.
