What a lousy story!
One line the water is up to his mouth while trying to save his daughters and his maid, the next line he's at his hotel and had "found" some lifejackets?
What sort of ding-dong edits a story like that? It's a non-story.

Dude, sounds like it was time to revert to swimming. But, if anyone can run in that much water, he can. Dang, glad he and the family are ok.

Thought the same. . .am assuming there is no wife as well. . .
It is amazing how often stories that look/feel like 'cut-n paste' projects make it to print.
In this reporting, 'something is not better than nothing'. . .

Perhaps the fault is in the translation, not the original story.

Please tell me your tagline is a joke and Swayze never said that.

He adds: "Some things I dared not do in the past, I am ready to do them now." Looks like this tsunami might be just the thing to kickstart Jet's career...

Sorry.....I picked it up from an article here at FR. He apparently said it when he was slamming Bush in an interview with a French publication.

" He apparently said it when he was slamming Bush in an interview with a French publication."
Well the context does not save his story. . .and then again. ..maybe it does. I mean, the tsunami was Bush's fault; so that does put it proper persepctive.
Glad to hear the 'rest of the story'. . .
