"Not only will that further drive a wedge in that party, but it will also end the reparations argument for good (I hope)."

We all hope. Fingers crossed.

Unfortunately, this suit was filed on December 10th and the mass media has been completely silent. The man drops a MOAB on the Democrat Cult of Victimhood....but the BOOOOM is being effectively muffled

Ping atcha, Chad.

Gosh, I don't know, how about the money the BIA has mismanaged and often outright stolen from natives?

Sorry, I don't like the general political stance of many Injuns either, but I won't say that the reservation-bound deserve all the flack they get, either.

Don't get me wrong, I don't support repairations for ANYONE in this country. I was simply using the NAative Americans to put things into perspective.

They were the first ones to find themselves at the low end and the blacks (also known as Buffalo Soldiers) helped with the process.

So, I was simply saying that if anyone is going to get repairations, it should be the Native Americans.

Now with that being said, I don't support repairations for anyone. (unless of course there just happens to be a former slave still in the flesh?)

I know most of you are in support of this idea just for the goal of bankrupting the Democratic party, but I can see this thing easily backfiring in the face of America and the tax papyers at large.

The majority of blacks already blame everything rotten in their lives on slavery and they have every possible tool and financial assistance at their disposal to make something of themselves...why give another free hand out?

Just the general idea of reparations for anybody doesn't sit well with me.

He's done things like this before with Terry McAwful. I just see it as largely symbolic, but if Ted Kennedy got the stick I'd be happy.

No one should get anything. There's enough government aid already so I agree. There's more than enough opportunity for everyone.

Is this real?

I exchanged e-mails with Perryman more than a year ago. He's definitely real.

Of course, I'm certain he'll be dismissed by the MSM, but I'm glad he's out there!

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

Wait until the good reverend learns that the Democrats kept the Tuskeegee Experiment going into the 1970's, and that Democratic prosecutors *still* won't charge any of the nurses or doctors involved for telling Black "patients" that they were being treated for syphilis when in reality they were simply being observed to see how the symptoms spread.

Associative memory here....trying to find something specfic. Did Perryman jump in and try to save a man being beaten during the LA riots?

"Don't get me wrong, I don't support repairations for ANYONE in this country. I was simply using the NAative Americans to put things into perspective."

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not for him winning this just to bankrupt the Democrat party. In fact, Mr Perryman is himself a Democrat. He identifies himself as one in the letter to McAwful that I linked a few posts ago. I doubt that HE expects to win a monetary reparations claim. He wants the party to own up to it's past and stop lying about it.

I believe that's the most he'll get if he wins, and also that he stands the best chance of winning. He has the credentials for it.

I further expect that the powerful Democrat party and other social collectivists around the world will very suddenly lose interest in campaigning for reparations and the "debate" will end. Very suddenly.

I just didn't quite understand your remark about reparations for Native Americans. Thanks for clarifying.

i wonder how many trillions of dollars damage the democrats have done to america?

start with the skool system. every day you see store employees that don't know the difference between .25 cents and 25 cents.

today, a young woman at safeway was instructed by a manager that the price she'd charged me was wrong. so she had to subtract 79 cents from $1.29 to correct the error. she got 40 cents for the answer.

unbelievable. and people on this forum wonder why they're moving jobs overseas.

I still can't find anything specific. He's done some work to stop gang violence, so maybe I have him mixed up with someone else.

I'd say the Native Americans deserve it first.

Again, that's the evil Dems. Damn slippery slopes or
snowballs I want people to know the truth!

Read, "The Cherokee Nation against the State of Georgia",
and what the honored Democrat President
Andrew Jackson did about the decision.

Chief Justice Marshall ruled that Georgia's attempt to seize the Cherokee Nation was illegal, dismissing the charges against Rev. Worcester. Despite two U.S. Supreme Court decisions (1831 and 1832) upholding the rights of the Cherokee nation against the state of Georgia, which was attempting to destroy Cherokee sovereignty and take the Indians' land, Jackson refused to intervene on behalf of the Indians. Many tribes were resettled west of the Mississippi while he was in office. The removal of the Cherokee was finally accomplished (1838-39) by a forced trek westward during the administration of Jackson's successor, Martin Van Buren. {Note: also Democrat}
