NEW YORK - America's feminist leaders and their critics agree on at least one current political fact: These are daunting times for the women's movement as it braces for another term of an administration it desperately wanted to topple.
"The next four years are going to be tough, so we must be tougher," National Organization for Women (news - web sites) president Kim Gandy recently told supporters. "Our health, our rights, and our democracy are teetering on the brink."

What's NOW's membership these days--'bout one, two hundred pissed-off college lesbos? Does Rush even taunt them anymore?
Feminazis never quit their whining.
"The National Order of Witches" - Excellent!
NOW is merely another "rat" party front group. It is completely irrelevant, except that these ugly lesbians are constantly shoved down our throats by the MSM.
"Our health, our rights, and our democracy are teetering on the brink."
She has to be speaking about women in Iran and during the Taliban in Afganistan, right? She can't possiblly mean the USA?
Freepers, tell me - isn't America the greatest nation in the world?
Is GWB going to take away health, rights, and democracy?
Are they for real?
Can we make a collection to send them to Cuba? I hear the feminine napkins there are really rags and they must be recycled!
These withches are never happy.
"Please don't show me that at this point in time".
Who wants to stick his finger in the dyke?
All 17 NOW members really have their panties in a wad.
The entire sum of what the "feminist" organizations spent during the whole 2004 election was less than what VP Dick Cheney raised in a single 1 hour fundraiser.

Sorry NOW, but men and women are different. Get over it. I figured this out when my son (18 months) and my niece (15 months). We bought them shoes, I held my son down, tied the shoes on, let him up and he ran off to go stick a hairpin in a light socket. My niece happily put her shoes on and walked around for 1/2 an hour, staring at her shoes saying "pitty, pretty". Get over it, male and female are wired differently.
Meanwhile, the rest of American womanhood, myself included, goes on with our lives just fine.
Clueless, they're just so totally clueless....
The Clinton-Lewinsky defense accord was feminism's Nazi- Soviet Pact; all were willing to toss their feminist movement overboard to give Bill Clinton a pass on a career of sexual predation that reflects his utter contempt for the female gender: If Clinton was removed, they knew that Hillary would have to go, too.
