It is unseemly, certainly. That being said, should she not have come forward anyway? I know you doubt that, but her testimony did matter, and not just in the penalty phase...the prosecution believed That Man killed Laci and Connor because he wanted to be free to pursue Amber (whom he had no business pursing!). So now one should only come forward if there is money to be made. Her testimony mattered but it was what she testified to that was unseemly. Her information showed he lied about where he was, it showed him lusting after Amber, it showed a man whose wife was missing. He never said to her, I killed her. He did not say I tossed the body. All this testimony did, was outrage the jury of his behavior. I suppose I expect a bit more than hours and hours of recorded phone calls that offered no substance instead it offered a soap opera and in the end the prosecution got what they needed he is the worst kind of human being there was, he was a cad, he cheated on his wife. It reflected on his character but it did not tell you what happened to Lacy.

What ever happened to folks who did their civic duty to come forward tell the police of what they know, testify if the prosecution asks you to and then you go back to your life, cherishing being part of the best justice system in the world.

I think we will have to agree to disagree. Thank you for your wonderful opinions!

Yes, I suppose we will have to disagree. We have a totally different take on what the evidence was. :)

I do want to clarify something, though. I never meant to imply that she should have come forward strictly for the money. Whether or not she did is a question only she can answer, but I don't believe that she did.

Been nice talking to you!
