I was noticing that. They do not seem happy at all to have him with them.

So let me get this right. If I'm not out of here in 10
seconds you're going to take me out in the desert
and bury me up to my neck in an ant hill.

What unit was he with and what response did they give him?

This is the AP caption:
"U.S. Senator John Kerry (R) greets Army soldiers from the first Cavalry Division at Camp al-Tahreer (Liberty) in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, January 5, 2005. During the visit, Kerry discussed sports, the presidential election and the state of the war in Iraq ."
Hold on a sec, there's another pic with a better caption.

U.S. Senator John Kerry , discusses the state of the war in Iraq with Chief Warrant Officer Donald Hartson, 126th Aviation Battalion, during the Senators visit to Camp Al Tahreer (Liberty) in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, January 5, 2005. Kerry met with Soldiers from his state, asking them what he should tell Congress about the war in Iraq. The troops complained to Kerry that the good work that they are doing is not getting reported in the United States.

Fellas (and you too, little lady) I have to apologize for falsifying military records, running from battle, negotiating with the enemy without authorization, fraudulent anti-war propoganda and all my traiterous, slanderous, anti-military, anti-USA, anti-human behaviour. I guess I should have just shot myself the day I was born! Since I didn't, I'll just resign, give all my money to US military charities, cover myself in sackcloth and ashes and sit by the Vietnam Memorial Wall in shame and disgrace. Once again, sorry!
Note - Senators are required to call all women "little lady."

God, I wish I could be a fly on the wall during Kerry's trip. I suspect somewhere along the line, when he's alone, he's going to admit to himself that he opportunistically attached himself to any bad news story he could and that he actively hoped for failure i.e. more dead Americans so he could get elected. In this picture, it looks like he's close to that point. Maybe he'll do what his grandfather did at the Palestine Hotel in Baghdad. Make no mistake, I'm not saying he should, but he should absolutely be consumed with guilt.

Isn't that great? even Massachusetts soldiers know what's what.

Where's the enthusiasm! Where are the cheers, hoo-ahs, and applause! Where are the bright faces with ear-to-ear grins? I love these 'kids' and it's obvious that they are not impressed! They'd much rather be back doing whatever than looking at this dweeb.
