PHARR, Texas- Federal agents today raided the offices of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo independent school district and confiscated documents.
Authorities aren't saying what led to the raids, other than the activity is part of an ongoing investigation.
A statement from the U.S. attorney's office says the federal agents also carried out "law enforcement action" at other locations associated with the school district.
Agents wearing clothing identifying them as being with the F-B-I were seen loading boxes of documents into vehicles.

JANUARY 6, 2005 - The PSJA school administration building is shut down ... it was raided by the FBI. But the school district office wasn't the only place the FBI raided.
Agents also raided several businesses and homes in the Pharr, San Juan and Alamo areas.
Federal agents seized boxes and boxes of school documents. School district employees were forced to leave after the FBI agents began executing their search warrants.
Now we've learned the agents were conducting a number of raids.
Action 4 News was at the scene when agents raided the home of PSJA school board president Roy Navarro. About a dozen boxes of files and rifles were taken from Navarro's home.
Agents also raided the bookkeeping office of former board member Ben Cantu on Cage Street. They also raided the home of PSJA superintendent Arturo Guajardo.
Guajardo spoke to Action 4 News shortly after the FBI raided the school offices. He says he was caught totally off guard by the agents actions.
"I think the help we need from the media is to advice our parents, our constituents, our staff out there is to be patient with us. We're working with these people, we don't know what they're after, but certainly we need their help," said Guajardo.
Reporter: "Your were very surprised. What happened this morning did they just come in?" "They just came in, that's it. I guess that's their normal procedure," said Guajardo.
The FBI has been investigating the district for several months. There has been allegations of board members taking bribes in exchange for school construction contracts.
"While acknowledging that federal law enforcement action was taken today at the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD offices and other locations associated with the school district, we are all constrained by law from disclosing any further information at this time," said U.S. Attorney Michael Shelby.
"This activity is part of an ongoing investigation. No charges have been filed and no conclusions should be drawn from today's action," said Shelby.
The FBI is not commenting on any of the raids.
Still looking for Ballot Box 13?

The FBI? Man.
Did they find more ballots for Gregoire or something?
Bump for a later read.
BTTT
Maybe one of the kids created a Christmas decoration in art class.
Yep, this is one of the Hispanic blue areas of Texas, full of illegals and their corrupt kin. The FBI should just stay in the Rio Grande Valley and clean up that cesspool. It's certain that Texas law enforcement never will. The rest of Texas just considers that a part of Mexico.
This makes the entire thing stink to high heaven!!!
I noticed that the article used "raid" or "raided" an awful lot, nine times if I can count correctly. Seems to me that "raid" or "raided" might be somewhat prejudicial. The agents were executing search warrants.
Or maybe the writer couldn't come up with any other words to describe the FBI's actions.
