MSNBC Reports: Up to 6 other Sentors may join Barbara Boxer in contesting the election.

Posted on 01/06/2005 7:20:07 AM PST by Next_Time_NJ

MSNBC is now reporting that up to 6 other senators (1 possible republican) will give statements of support for contesting the election. There were no names given. Barbara Boxer is confirmed to be the only senator on record to say she is now going to contest the election along with Conyers and a few others from congress.

The report went on to say that the debate (if all 6 come on board) will only be about 30 minutes, due to the 5 minute rule per senator. The report also said that Bush's victory his not in jepordy.

I still think the media may eat crow on this but anyone have any thoughts?

thanks for the reassurance--and the welcome. I didn't think they had anything, but whatever you think of them, they aren't completely politically inept--and they'd have to be inept in order to hatch a scheme like this.

Fools. They already have the support of the rabid radical kooky Left. This hurts them nationally.

It doesnt make sense for Specter to do it either.

It has to be someone who has virtually nothing to lose and has no future ambitions....

It has to be Chaffee or Snowe....

If you're talking about the Dems...I beg to disagree.

Politically ineptness seems to be their specialty.

Michael Moore sitting in the box with Jimmy Carter at the Dem Convention.

Considering leaving McAuliffe in his post as DNC chairman.

Now Boxer forming her own circular firing squad.

And they wonder why they lose election after election and why the Republicans own the Presidency, the Senate and the House.

There is a news article out today that Chafee is co-sponsoring a bill with Fienstein to do away with the electoral college system.

If this story is true I'd bet the house that it is Chafee

CNN, MSNBC and CSPAN all said at least Barbara Boxer is on board. I would take it to the bank. If its only her, the debate will only be 5 mins LOL!!

Keep it up Dems.

This is like Michael Moore sticking his smug mug out in front for the American people again! The Dems. couldn't look worse!

Btw, will this be on C-Span later?

Remember that:

Lincoln Chafee was appointed by the Governor of Rhode Island to fill the unexpired term of his father, the late Senator John H. Chafee, in November 1999. On November 7, 2000, Senator Chafee was elected to a six-year term in the United States Senate.

Somebody please help me. What is the point of this? I'm being serious, no kidding. The Ohio results are NOT in doubt. Not one individual has been on tv claiming disenfranchisement. What's the deal?

I think this is the very best thing to happen to Republicans in a long time. The leadership of the left is embracing the most fringe, hairbrained Conspirazoids possible. They are running so far to the left, they are falling off of the planet, and this cannot do anything but assist us in 2006.
