See my link on reply #243 for another quote on terror from Chuckles.
To: Peach
"Some callers actually thought Rush was serious and thought it was a GOOD idea to sign a treaty with AQ."You must have been listening. I thought Rush was going to explode. I started patting the radio to help him calm down.

The forced introduction inspection of the Gonzales family was ~really~ strange.
To: prairiebreeze
Specter interrupts Gonzales as he begins by acknowledging Specter to say "A request is pending for you to introduce your family", then he tells Mrs. Gonzales to stand.
It seemed weird to me. Nice family and kids are there, too.
To: Mo1
That's customary...

Oh, I see; the "right" kind of Hispanic. That's funny - a few years ago when Santa Maria, California elected two Hispanics to the City Council, the Latino activist groups (MALDEF, etc.) criticized them by saying that "they're not OUR kind of Hispanics" i.e., both gentlemen were conservative Republicans.

Click
here for more from Chuckie on terror. From the link:
Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., said he was grappling with what interrogation techniques, including torture, are acceptable in wartime. "We are in a brave new world," he said.
To: mewzilla
Schumer suggested to his colleagues on the committee that "there are very few people in this room or in America who would say that torture should never, ever, be used, particularly if thousands of lives are at stake." Gee Chuckie ... thanks for caring about American lives
