Just glance at the names in the right hand column.

I'd say Yes.

I'm not sure how the hierarchy works, but judging from what I've seen at a couple of the local Presbyterian churches, that explains a lot.

More on Johnson for this link:

The Center for Victims of Torture is a private, non-profit organization that was founded in 1985 to provide direct care to survivors of politically-motivated torture and members of their families. CVT, the first organization of its kind in the United States, provides care on an outpatient basis for approximately 150 clients annually. CVT also conducts ongoing research on the long-term effects of torture and effective rehabilitation models; provides professional training to health care, human service, resettlement and immigration professionals; and contributes to the prevention of torture through public education, policy initiatives, and cooperative efforts with other organizations. Douglas Johnson, Executive Director, is also an Associate Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies and previously worked as National Chairperson and cofounder of the Infant Formula Action Coalition.

The Institute For Policy Studies.

Considering he treats real torture victims, you'd think he'd know the difference between what the Dems are alleging and the real thing.

One would think so, but blurring of distinctions is what RATS do best.

Thanks for the pings I'll watch this as long as my blood pressure can tolerate it.

It is not surprising in the least that Presbyterian Church USA has info on this group. The higher levels of the organization are extremely leftist, anti-Israeli, anti-capitalism.

I got a feeling this one is going to be ugly.

Can't wait for the fireworks when the Electoral College is officially given later today.

The Dem's are going to be in meltdown.

Wasn't the new Congress sworn in?...Which would mean Edwards is gone?

Well, yes that's true. However there are many in the denomination who are very unhappy about the direction these people take. Some 40,000 members left the denomination last year I believe I read. Continual decline.

The First Panel, who will present Mr. Gonzales to the Committee, the Senate, and the nation consists of Senator Cornyn (Rep., Texas), and Senator Salazar (Dem., Colorado). Senator Cornyn is an obvious choice as he is a Republican, quite conservative, and from Mr. Gonzales' home state. On the other hand, Senator Salazar is a Democrat (who just was elected to the senate in November) and from Colorado. He also is the highest ranking Hispanic to be elected to office.
