And we're "controversial" (rather than "racist, sexist, bigoted and homophobic").
Good PR. Not that it was intended to be...
If you want on or off this *NPR/PBS* ping list, please FReepmail me or just bump the thread

This is a low to moderate activty list.
Now they're going to give Jim a big head, and he'll raise the contributuion limit.
As if NPR wasn't a controversial cabal.
"(rather than "racist, sexist, bigoted and homophobic")."
I think that's what they meant when they said FR was controversial. Wonder what words they'd use to describe the web sites of the dems?
It's kind of cool that they think we're controversial. We must all be doing a good job.
BARF...Listen to the audio!
Playing in a band -- that is ALL the RINO gov Huckabee is good for!
That and signing anything the socialists in arkansas put in front of him --- and he smiles while putting the screws to the Arkansas taxpayer.
and Bush wants this turkey? basted maybe?
And they didn't call us a blog!
"This is the second time the band has played the unofficial inaugural ball, sponsored by the controversial conservative website, FreeRepublic.com."
"We're pretty excited about that. We got to play it four years ago and the only thrill greater than being invited to something once is being invited back."
"After Huckabee played the Free Republic event in January, 2001 he caught some flack for associating with that conservative group."
"FreeRepublic.com has been investigated by the Secret Service after posting messages some deemed threatening toward former president Bill Clinton."
Ooooh! What a scary website, that FreeRepublic.com must be!
Tickets will sell even faster, now. Thanks, NPR!
Ping!
Well, you've literally accused Gov. Huckabee of being a Communist, which is patently absurd.
In fact, Gov. Huckabee is a conservative Baptist minister and the former head of the Moral Majority in Arkansas. He has restored dignity and integrity to this state after the Clinton era of scandal and shame.
Wonder what we'll be in 2009?
< snif > .. makes me proud :)
Here's the link to an FR thread that NPR links:

As usual, they had their thongs in a knot over anti-krinton hate on FR, but hey, actual attacks on conservatives across the country in the last campaign and general foaming hatred of the Bush WH is AOK.
Screw them.
Death to the oppressor mouthpiece NPR/PBS/CPB, comrades!
PS. If the krintons do happen to drop dead anytime soon, I'll buy any FReeper a drink that can produce pre-2000 FR hard copy evidence that they are intolerant, narrow-minded, Leftist-baiting, clinton-hating rightwingers.
Was Huckabee invited to play at the FR ball?
I resent that. I'm neither racist, sexist, bigoted nor homophobic. I just reserve the right to have and express my own opinions. This used to be America.
A little bit of 'being offended' goes a long way in our new world.
You made the big time!! Who would have thought in summer 1998 that you would be busted on NPR. Congrats!!!
>>We must all be doing a good job.
Exactly. If you're not taking any fire, you're not causing anyone any problems.
