MSNBC Reporting: Boxer will contest the election.
Posted on 01/05/2005 11:28:30 AM PST by Next_Time_NJ
I posted a thread before about some inside information that national review had that boxer MIGHT contest the election.. But now...
I was watching MSNBC and they said that Barbra Boxer will stand and contest the results and join Conyers.
Its all over DU if you want to check out there forums (if you can).
Sorry no link yet, just saw it on TV.
If and when this goes down, what exactly happends? Is it an automatic 2 hour debate and vote or do they have to vote on having the debate in the first place?

Evil Hitler wannabe Uncle Tom partisan Bush supporter Secretary of State Blackwell actually insisted that voters be registered to vote, similar to tactics used by the Nazi's in the 1930's. where was this article from? I can't believe things like this would appear anywhere other then manifesto's the radicals at berkley are writing

Send Howard Dean to the White House!
And you know something? You know something? Not only are we going to protest the election in New Hampshire ... we're going to protest the election in South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, and we're going to protest the election in California and Texas and New York. And we're going to protest the election in South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan. And then we're going to Washington, D.C. To take back the White House. YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHH! LOL

that is actually the correct strategy here - and the person who should lead the call to recall Boxer is Schwarzenegger. It would be a perfect move, given that the David recall allowed him to be governor. He could say that the state helped restore its integrity by recalling Davis, now its time to recall Boxer.
Ok, so, how do you go about recalling a US Senator? And did anyone update these rules to take into account constitutional amendments? My guess is that there is no current procedure, and there's no way that our state senate/house will make it in any period of time to be effective.

I still don't see what good this will do them. So they discuss everything for two hours, then accept Ohio's electors anyway. Even if they don't accept Ohio's electors(same odds as being struck by lightning), then the election is thrown to the House and Senate and Bush wins...AGAIN!

When Boxer grows up, she might be taller . . . but she'll still be an enemy to the Republic.

The brilliant non-partisan Representative John Conyers, Jr., Ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee ROFLMAO!
While Republicans sat comfortably in their country club and had voting machines brought to them to cast their votes while eating caviar, Democrats had to fight the bitter cold and rain to go to their own polling place and some even had to wait in line to vote.
Bwahahahahah! What a heaping load!

I don't know. but I would guess that if there is a mechanism to recall a governor, that the same procedure exists for a senator - since a senator is also statewide elected, it should not matter that its a federal position. but I do not know with any certainty.

Two Republicans should get together and contest the election citing Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Boxer's office is denying that a decision has been made; says she's still considering opinions.

Bush won the election, I don't think we want our side to start contesting states, it just adds legitimacy to the process - it makes the Dems look as if contesting Ohio is legitimate.
To: MississippiMan
I already contacted numerous Senators about this.

Yes, infiltrators are keeping them hopping at DU today! Some get on and post BOXER IS YES, others get on and say BOXER IS NO!
Actually, Boxer's office keeps telling ANYBODY that bothers to call that they are just listening to their constituents and have not made up their mind.
Of course the conspiracy nuts over at DU are going nuts about this just means a YES or a NO, and even Kerry being out of the country is part of the YES conpiracy! They are truly nuts over there!
