A couple of inches of snow falling in Seattle? This entire town will grind to a halt! People around here can't even drive in the rain (which totally boggles my mind), let alone snow!

This sucks. I have to fly from Baltimore to Detroit to Knoxville on Monday. Atleast the airport in Detroit is nice.

An unnamed warm, moist storm system from the Gulf of Mexico drenching the already saturated Ohio, Tennessee and Mississippi valleys. Expect heavy river flooding and springlike tornadoes I've got a name for it: "The Illegal Alien Express".
Bad weather doesn't stop at the Rio Grande Express?

Here in East-Central Iowa, most schools have yet to hold classes this year (cancelled Monday through today) and will surely remain closed tomorrow after the 10 or so inches of snow predicted today and tonight.
With more on the way, I'm even happier that we (finally) bought an all-wheel-drive minivan in October. :-)

Hmmm...I'm sitting in Iowa, getting absolutely dumped on with snow -- the most we've had in one storm in several years (10-16 inches); not a word. I guess if it doesn't hit New York, LA, or another big city, it's not weather...

Probably not...but I do believe it's what Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24.
Just wait...I bet it gets worse.

Moisture-laden storms from the north, west and south are likely to converge on much of America Vermont.I'd like to have sympathy for the rest of you but in the three years I've been in VT I have watched the weather on satellite imaging and have found that any cloud that touches the North American continent, from the southernmost jungles of Mexico to the northernmost shores of Alaska, will ultimately park itself over Vermont then circle around like a teenager doing donuts on a snow covered parking lot.

Moisture-laden storms from the north, west and south are likely to converge on much of America over the next several days in what could be a once-in-a-generation onslaught, meteorologists forecast yesterday. It does seem like the media keeps selling "once-in-a-generation" events every couple of months.
Wasn't the hurricane season in Florida a "once in-a-generation" event?

WHEW! So nothing heading to Maryland.
What? Oh yes, I care about others. Virginia and PA seem safe too. :)
