36 below zero in Grand Forks this morning. Please send more global warming...at once!
With more on the way, I'm even happier that we (finally) bought an all-wheel-drive minivan in October. :-)
Don't feel bad. People around here can't even drive on a dry sunny day!
The knoxville airport isn't too bad because it's nice & small. The rental car people there are the nicest i've ever dealt with.
Hmmm...I'm sitting in Iowa, getting absolutely dumped on with snow -- the most we've had in one storm in several years (10-16 inches); not a word. I guess if it doesn't hit New York, LA, or another big city, it's not weather...
Probably not...but I do believe it's what Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24.
Just wait...I bet it gets worse.
Wind, rain, snow.....My God what's happening??? :-)
And toilet paper!
East Central Indiana has ice, sleet, slick roads; our firm is closing at noon. Snow day!Ohh I dunno... letting you all drive home sounds dangerous.
You must be in Florida!!!
We're doomed! Doomed!
Where are you located.....We have lots of rain on our already flood plain.
"Meteorologists caution that their predictions are only as good as their computer models. And forecasts are less accurate the further into the future they attempt to predict."
Good. Maybe we'll finally get some snow here in NY. I say "Bring it on!!!"
Where's Iowa? Is it a state?
I'd like to have sympathy for the rest of you but in the three years I've been in VT I have watched the weather on satellite imaging and have found that any cloud that touches the North American continent, from the southernmost jungles of Mexico to the northernmost shores of Alaska, will ultimately park itself over Vermont then circle around like a teenager doing donuts on a snow covered parking lot.
5 1/2 inches of rain so far here at Lake of the Ozarks in mid-Missouri. Lake level is up to 660.17, and 11 of the 12 floodgates are open. Truman Dam, above our lake, is holding back and has plenty of room so we'll be OK. The eagles roosting below Bagnel Dam are having a field day because of all the stunned fish emptying out of the gates.
It does seem like the media keeps selling "once-in-a-generation" events every couple of months.
Wasn't the hurricane season in Florida a "once in-a-generation" event?
Yeah, but if I can get to Knoxville I am golden since that is my destination. In my opinion the people in East Tennessee are the nicest people in the world. Maybe it is the accent and the southern charm, but it works for me.
Actually, Pennsylvania, but we get hordes of New Jersey drivers who come over here to find work.
