We continue to lift our brother, George W. Bush up in prayer, asking that he might be given the wisdom and discernment he seeks from You. We ask that he might be faithful in prayer and in study of Your word and stay grounded in his faith. Take hold of his hand, and help him to continue to seek Your face in his daily life that he might know what is Your perfect will for his life and for the life of this nation. Grant him spiritual understanding that he might not be wrapped up in earthly problems and trials, but might have a vision that sees beyond the transient to that which is eternal. And as he begins his second term, we would plead that the forces of evil which would seek to thwart his attempts to bring this country back to life, morality and personal responsibility would be bound, and become impotent. Keep him humble before you, Lord, and may You alone be glorified in each step he takes.
We pray as well for blessing and protection for him, and for Laura and their family. Bless their marriage and keep it strong and loving as a shining example in a culture that needs desperately to see commitment and selfless love. Bless Laura, and help her to be strong, and committed to becoming a more Godly wife in the coming year. Bless Barbara and Jenna as they pursue their careers, and keep them focused on becoming women who honor You with their lives.
We pray, dear Father, for those brave men and women in our military who are serving and protecting this country far from home. We pray for the upcoming election in Iraq, that You would place a shield of protection over not only our troops, but the Iraqi troops and the Iraqi people, and that You would defeat the terrorists whose goal is to destroy the freedom that has begun in that country and bring it back to tyranny.
And finally, dear Father, we pray once again for this nation. We thank You for the generosity that has poured out from the American people who have seen the great need for victims of these disastrous tsunamis. We pray for the survivors; that they would find the food and shelter that they need, that they would be spared from disease, and given comfort in the loss of loved ones, but most of all Lord, that they would be open to the Gospel of Your Son, Jesus, who loved them enough to give up His life for their redemption. And Father, I have been convicted to pray for Bill Clinton that somehow, through this tragedy, his contact with the President, and his health crisis, that he would be convicted of his own grievous sin, and come to true repentance. He knows the words to say, but his heart his dark, and we pray that he might see the true Light who lives in President Bush, and come to salvation through His forgiveness and restoration.
Lord, You have called us in righteousness. We continue to pray that America would return to being a culture of life and morality; that those who seek to bring it down in darkness would be convicted and see the folly of their ambitions - that what they see as liberty is licentiousness. We pray that we might be act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with You, our God. In the strong name of Jesus, who is the Christ we pray, Amen.
Please join us in prayer for our President, our troops, and our nation!
Amen,......Infinite Grace and Mercy,.......In Jesus' Precious Name, Amen!!!
Our most gracious and kind Heavenly Father, we thank You for the many blessings of this day. We pray, Heavenly Father, that you will watch over President Bush and his administration in their daily work and personal life. We pray that you will give all the leaders of our great nation the wisdom to make right decisions in their leadership of our nation.
We ask your blessings on our great military men and women as they are hard at work protecting our great nation. We pray they will return home safely, soon.
We ask these blessings in Your Son's Precious Name, Amen.

How could I stand here
And watch the sun rise
Follow the mountains
Where they touch the sky
Ponder the vastness
And the depths of the sea
And think for a moment
The point of it all was to make
Much of me
Cause Im just a whisper
And You are the thunder and
I want to make much of You, Jesus
I want to make much of Your love
I want to live today and give You the praise
That You alone are so worthy of
I want to make much of Your mercy
I want to make much of Your cross
I give You my life
Take it and let it be used
To make much of You
And how can I kneel here
And think of the cross
The thorns and the whip and the
Nails and the spear
The infinite cost
To purchase my pardon
And bear all my shame
To think I have anything worthy boasting in
Except for Your name
Cause I am a sinner
And You are the Savior and
This is Your love, oh, God
Not to make much of me
But to send Your own Son
So that we could make much of You
For all eternity
I want to make much of You, Jesus
I want to make much of Your love
I want to live today and give You the praise
That You alone are so worthy of
I want to make much of Your mercy
I want to make much of Your cross
I give You my life
Take it and let it be used
To make much of You
Much of You, Steven Curtis Chapman
