At the top of the linked page you will find a large Tuesdays, click on it to go to today's update and the article.
This, rather long article, demonstrates how Christians can and should use this disaster, to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ by their giving.
As you read it, you'll find mention of several charities, if you or your church has one that you would like listed, please have your pastor e-mail me with a description and particluars.
He can reach me by either using the form or by emailing charity@Christian-news-in-maine.com

Oh, one other thing, the next list will be in the Thursday update, so if you could get your pastor to email me before 6AM EST Thursday Morning, I would really appreciate it.
Agreed.
Our church actually has relationships with some pastors in India and Sri Lanka, and we're providing assistance directly. Three of the pastors in Sri Lanka that we know lost family members (wife, wife & kids, and daughter). One more way that this tragedy hits home....
Mission to the World Minuteman Disaster Relief Fund....
I do belive that is what we are asking for, Freeper help, but, only through their pastors.
If that matters?
Yeah you Christians. Move fast to take advantage of this Big Wave Deal to advance Jesus's cause. It'll make us look great.
Those of you with credit card points, check on donating them to the Salvation Army. I do it with my AmEx, haven't checked on the other card. As I remember, it's about 100 points per dollar or something like that. Anyway, that's what I'm going to do. Will also send some cash to the Sally.

At least with the Salvation Army, you know the money wont be going to a madrassa.
It really ought to be possible to do something good in this world without having someone assume that there's an ulterior motive behind it.
Are you really rude and obnoxious? Or are you just trying to give that impresion?
Operation blessing from Pat Robertson's 700 club is already in theater with infrastructure in place to distribute and help.
And they are unashamedly Christian!
It just struck me that most major disasters resulting in the deaths of many Christians happen because of other people (i.e. being slaughtered by moslems etc) and that most major disasters resulting in the deaths of many non-Christians are acts of God (Floods, earthquakes etc).
If I was a non-Christian I'd be pretty nervous.

Cornerstone Television, WPCB-TV Channel 40 in Pittsburgh PA (Wall PA), run by Ron Hembree, pastor of Quick Study. There's a link on the site to donate. 100% of your money will go to Christian aid workers already in place in affected areas. Two Asian pastors were interviewed on yesterday's fundraiser, one of them works with YMAM (Youth With A Mission) in Asia. This is the station pioneered by Russ Bixler, now deceased, and his wife Norma Bixler.

The Presbyterian Church (USA) has a link on their site for disaster relief. They've already committed funds to provide sanitation and medical kits, and they're part of a network of church agencies under the umbrella of Church World Services.
