The state Republican Party yesterday called on county election officials to explain what the GOP says is a nearly 8,500-vote discrepancy between county vote tallies and the number of people credited with actually voting in the election

The Dems got carried away ???

""You simply can't have more votes counted than you have voters," Vance said. "The counties have to come up with a plausible explanation for this and if they don't this election is invalid on its face."

And Secretary of State Sam Reed again said that this issue could be used to contest the election. "

WOOOO HOOOO! Full steam ahead Governor Rossi! :-)

Would also be curious to find out how many liberals from the Portland, Oregon area made the trip across the Columbia River to vote in Vancouver, WA. ;)

Revote is the only way...and the only way to guarantee one vote per registered voter is to make everyone bring I.D. to the polling place and once they are cleared...they can vote....ONCE!!!

Its too much trouble to count the votes, because the''votes'' aren't real votes at all.I seem to remember some years ago another tight election between Lorretta Sanchez and one of my favorite guys Bob Dornan She won by a few number of ''votes''. Later on when people were trying to track some of the ballots because they're were also discrepencies, mystery ballots, etc. Nobody could find out why things weren't adding up. It turned out a lot of these ballots were peoples, pets, dogs, goldfish whatever. All from DemocRAT counties. No, I cant prove any of this, but I heard Bob Dornan speak of this some years ago, with all the craziness going on in Washington now I tend to believe it's all true!

There is so much wrong with this I'm not sure where to begin.

""I think this is sort of the issue du jour," Logan said. "There has been no evidence of any voter fraud. The differences on the lists are not, in and of themselves, indication that there was.""

Maybe Logan should contact the democrats in Ohio, Jesse Jackson and John Conyers and tell them this. Evidently he didn't get the playbook or he would never have said this.

"Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey said he thinks that 553 of the 1,005 vote-to-voter discrepancy there will be accounted for when the list of inactive voters -- those who have not participated in recent elections -- is reconciled with those who did in fact turn out in November.

But he has no plans to try to account for 452 extra poll, absentee and provisional votes.

"It would be a huge task," Kimsey said. "You are looking through 121,679 absentee ballots, affidavit envelopes and through poll books where 50,598 voters cast their ballots."

Isn't that why he is called an "auditor"? Isn't it his paid job to do this? WTH is he collecting money for these days? Turning a blind eye?

"Carolyn Diepenbrock, Snohomish County elections manager, said the deviation in her lists is 388, not the more than 1,700 as the Republican's contend.

"We believe that the majority of those 388 are poll voters who signed in the poll book but actually voted a provisional ballot," Diepenbrock said.

She said the county would likely be able to update records as early as tomorrow."

This one actually is open confession of fraud. Why are people signing a voting book (voting at the polls) when they "actually voted a provisional ballot"? Has she just admitted that there was double voting and that she was going to fix it tomorrow? When she fixes it, there will be no record of these people multiple voting.

There needs to be a federal investigation.

This man needs to be recalled for laziness, incompetence, and malfeasance.

I think I will alter my bank statement just enough to cover that new car I've been looking at, and then go to the bank and ask them to change their records to match it. Then, I can go buy the car.

"People ask me what would fraud look like? It would look like this," said state Republican Party Chairman Chris Vance.

Nice quote. :-)

"We believe that the majority of those 388 are poll voters who signed in the poll book but actually voted a provisional ballot," Diepenbrock said.

In other words, they may have voted twice. Very comforting.

"We believe that the majority of those 388 are poll voters who signed in the poll book but actually voted a provisional ballot," Diepenbrock said.

This is yet one more example of why this "provisional ballot" crap has to go. "Provisional" ballots should be outlawed. If you can't be bothered to get legally registered to vote in your place of residence, then take the time and trouble (it only takes a lousy phone call to the board of elections, for cripes' sake) to verify that you are properly registered (if there is any question of that), then you shouldn't be allowed to vote. It is close enough to a violation of the equal protection clause that I think we should take a serious look at getting rid of this provisional ballot nonsense.

Note that I am not including absentee ballots in this manifesto. Military service, illness, work-related travel, all of these constitute valid reasons why a person might not be physically present at their designated polling place on election day. Otherwise, drag yourself out of bed and go cast your vote, if it's important to you.

I hope Rossi and the GOP do something to stop this theft but I'll say the same thing to them that I said to the Gore 2000 crybabies...
If you don't go to court and prove it, then forget it! It's all idle speculation and chatter.

It is amazing to me that dems want 'every vote' counted to ensure that there is no one left out. But when it is shown that some who have no right to their vote are found, that is ok. They know that the "extra" votes are dem.

Then why bother keeping the lists?

>>>Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey said he thinks that 553 of the 1,005 vote-to-voter discrepancy there will be accounted for

Usually auditors are employed to verify results. To have an auditor who makes judgements by guessing instead of actually taking the time to verify the results is plain wrong and probably fraudulent.

Unfortunately even a revote would be counted by these same people. We need a clean sweep of all the "officials" who've been involved with this fraudulent activity. Fire them, vote them out. Do whatever it takes to regain the trust of the residents of Washington.

On the eastside of the state, people are furious with the actions of the "elites" on the westside. Even democrats here realize that they've let the tiger out. Their party has gone too far this time.
