Well, I'm not talking about "burn it to the ground and salt the earth" hopeless but "a Republican has to do something extraordinary to get elected there" hopeless.
Yes, Sodom on the Sound has gotten a bit too big. But that's not to say the game's over. It's not, not by a long shot. Are you with us, combat_boots, or are you surrendering?
Yea. Right.
Texan in the WH. Texan Majority Leader in the House. Armstrong wins his 6th Tour. Texas wins the Rose Bowl. Now explain to us again what you think .... no, never mind.
The problem, of course, is that there is nobody in Washington who will do anything about the brazen corruption. "Law enforcement" in Washington is (obviously) as corrupt and crooked as the rest of Washington's Democrat government. These animals know where their bread is buttered, and anyway, somebody likely has lots of dirt on them. Oh well.....
Hey, its a strategy I have. I believe the blue states only survive because they exploit the go-getter conservatives amoung their ranks. it's a sort of slavery actually. You pay all the taxes and do most of the work and the louts are taking a free ride on your back.
Well move to a Red state and if all you poor effers who live in blue states would do likewise it would not be long before the socialist state would crumble and then Conservatives could take over.
Just think what you could sell your house for right now in your artificially pumped up blue state economy. You could get twice that much house in a Red state for that money. In ten years time you could go back to your ole stomping grounds and buy back your property for half what you sold it for.

SEATTLE is NOT Washington......stick with your own state.....your predictions will be much closer, I'm sure. Happy New Year.
That is perfectly true, Synchro. However, it is also perfectly legal to contest the results if evidence exists of fraud. The Rossi people are gathering such, and will decide within the legal time frame (20 days, I believe)if they choose to move forward in the courts. Just as Grinchy-GregoireGore said, "We will pursue every legal option."

I've seen your remarks and agree wholeheartedly with your comments and strategy. There was something very off-putting and especially disgusting about the last election cycle when a dipsh*t like Kerry could pull 48% of the vote. The Washington fiasco is hard to take. I'm finding it much more difficult today to continue to live within a community that continually goes for the dregs and the Democrats. I can't stand to watch TV anymore. Those conservatives who find themselves in these cesspools of leftist corruption need get the hell out, stop propping up the worst elements of the community, and move to greener (or redder) pastures. The remaining Sovietized holdovers will eventually fall of their own stupidity and errors. And the conservatives will feel better just knowing that they're not bankrolling the chicanery of a Democrat-controlled blue state.
Who'd a thunk a Texan would be such a run-away coward?
Be that as it may, our worst electoral defeats here in Washington have been only 2:1 -- numbers I used to think a Texan would be willing and strong enough to stand up against. And with courage (sometimes) carry the day against.
10 to 1? Try at best 2 to 1 -- your yellow stripe shows through, sonny boy. It looks like the Texan is weaker than the Pacific Northwest Mossback. I take pride here -- we mossbacks stand and fight; we may be slightly outnumbered here, but we don't run, hide, shiver and cower unlike you Texan folk.
And do us all real FReepers a favor, please? Just stay there in Texas where (I hope) there exist brave fighters still. But if you can't take it there, may I suggest you'd like New Jersey where you can exist perfectly comfortably forever in your complete and total ineffectiveness, Mr. Texan?
Oh good! Phew...
Well, we will actually have to keep our fingers crossed that the court(s) will view the evidence as "overwhleming." (And be willing to do something about it.) Washington State does have a precedent of a "run-off" election. A other states have had new elections too.
"I'd say Seattle is hopeless, not Washington."
You nailed it. The people that associate these ridiculous left wing problems with the entire state are just plain wrong. (And quite honestly some really are just dumb comments)
This all resides in the Seattle metro area and in Olympia and it needs to change. I have a feeling Monday might be a good day
Unfortunately, Seattle is 50+% of Washington and I'll pay attention to my own state when yours stops sending imbeciles to Congress.
Yeah....and about 40% of the Seattle area voted for Rossi.....if you don't live here, and work within the Republican party you REALLY do NOT understand this situation. But, hey....give all the opinions you want.....
Fine. Stay there and rot. Gates and his ilk will bend you over till you die.
I never understood why someone would glue themselves to a geographical region and mindlessly cling to it as though it was a religion or something.
I left Kansas because it was boring. I left Arizona cause there was more money to be made in California and I left there when it went irretrievably Left.
Texas is nice but I would never call myself a Texan. I'm an American.
Actually, if you look at res vs blue counties in WA, you would see the majority of the state is actually red. Unfortunately, Seattle has the bulk of the population. It is oversimpified to say that Seattle speaks for all of Washington.
