It's hard...it's such a target rich environment. Osama is an obvious choice, but then, which Clinton to choose? Scott Peterson has "disappeared" himself, deservedly so, as seems to have occured with both Ben Affleck and JLo, happily for us. Michael Jackson...next year perhaps? Jacques Chirac?..mais, certainment, d'accord!!..John Kerry is in the process of disappearing, as is Dan Rather; so they're probably NOT worth a vote. Same for Teresa Heinz Kerry. Al Gore has already vanished.

Some might vote for Howard Dean, but come on..we all really WANT him to stay and be the chair of the DNC..Kofi Annan can get some votes..Martha Stewart tried to "disappear" herself, but has failed. Shall we help her? Sick of Donald Trump? Can we "fire" him?

This number from the Mikado shows Sullivan's talent as a composers, but, IMHO, it really features Gilbert's at his satirical best, skewering, the "societal offenders who might well be underground, and who never will be missed."

NOTE:Possibly some kind soul can attach a midi to this thread, so you can hum along as you enter your choice..

"As some day it may happen that a victim must be found,
I'v got a little list--
I've got a little list

Of societal offenders who might well be underground
And who never would be missed
And who never would be missed!

CHORUS:

He's got 'em on the list--he's got em on the list;
And they'll none of them be missed--they'll none of 'em be missed!
OK..here's YOUR chance...it's a tough job but somebody has to do it...Which personage of 2004 would best serve humanity by vanishing..PFFT!!.at the stroke of midnight tonight, and WHY?..and please defend your choice..

I know there are loads of folks who will pick Michael Moore.. Dan Rather and Peter Jennings will likely be popular, as well as the Clintons. Tom Daschle will join John Edwards on the political stage. Kofi and Chirac will be favorites for the international side.

Me, I'll pick Ted Kennedy. If at the stroke of midnight he disappeared, I'd find a bottle of champaign to uncork. If he up and went away tonight, the liberal movement in this nation would fall apart. He's the last tie that they have before their boat floats free and we'll enjoy seeing 9,000 captains stand up to 'become' the leader.

He's not 'major', but he'd be my pick.

So, who's the ONE person, or personality of 2004 you'd like to make dissappear, and why?

Anyone who calls themselves "progressive".

We have to pick just one? Hmmmm...can't do it. I have a three-way toss up between Kofi Annan, Jacques Chirac, and Michael Moore.

So many to choose from. Wish there were categories to honor the many deserving souls, e.g., from Media, Hollywood, Politics, Terrorists, Foreign Leaders, etc.

Kerry was relatively easy to get rid of. He did it himself.

But that bi@ch Hillary keeps hanging around. She has got to go.

Bill Clinton ran out of gas but will still come up from his rat hole once in awhile.

Since there are so many choices, it would be nice to break them up as follows:

American Politics: John Fn Kerry
French Politics: Jacque "I-love-oil-money-from-Iraq" Chirac
Terrorists: Osama
Music: Madonna
"Acting": Robin Williams
"Documentaries": Michael Moore
Talk Radio (liberal): Tie between Al "I-am-fat-but-not-funny" Franken and Randi "I-want-to-personally-count-the-Ohio-votes-because-Diebold-threw-the-election-to-Bush" Rhodes
Main Stream Media (newspaper): Maureen Dowd
Main Stream Media (television): Dan Rather
Financial: George "I-spent-millions-and-only-got-this-Tshirt" Soros
Military: Wesley "call-me-Weasely" Clark
Local politicians: Jim "Dimwit" McDermott

Okay, I have that out of my system!

The moronic, unfunny, overgrown adolescent loser guys in the car of the amazingly annoying Sonic drive-in commercials.

Plus Sonic is a big donor to the Democrats.

Interesting question.
It reminds me of something my grandfather use to say whenever someone became too full of their own importance~

Place your hand into a pail of water.......now remove it.
See how big of a hole your hand left in the water?
That, my friend, is how irreplaceable any of us are in the overall scheme of things.

Even so, my choice is:

I think she poses one of the most serious threats to America.

Be gone ye Hildabeaste!

And, NO!, I will NOT apologize for posting this pic. More people need to look into the face of pure, infinite, unadulterated EVIL that this bitch gladly portrays. She truly represents the greatest threat to our country.
