Members of PETA said there's something fishy going on in Albany.
A group from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals were protesting outside Bob and Ron's Fish Fry on Central Avenue Thursday.
It's all part of their Fish Empathy Project, which spreads the word about research they said shows fish are just as intelligent as cats and dogs.
PETA feels places like Bob and Ron's supports what they said are horrible practices of commercial fishing and fish farms.
As part of PETA's Fish Empathy Project, members rallied outside Bob and Ron's Fish Fry in Albany on Thursday.
Karin Robertson of PETA said, "Eating fish is supporting such abysmal cruelty to animals. If other animals were subjected to the same type of torture that fish are subjected to before they're eaten, people would be in jail for felony cruelty to animals charges."
PETA wants people to think of fish as "friends, not food" and to care for them like you would a cat or dog.

Just because something smells like fish does not mean it is good to eat.

What do you mean it hurts the fish?
If it was so bad why is "Charlie the Tuna" so upset that Starkist won't pick him!
Charlie's been trying to get eaten for years!

How dare PETA use the word "ethical" in its name! PETA rips carrots out of the sacred womb of Mother Earth by their roots! PETA defoliates spinach patches quicker than Agent Orange or Pop-Eye! PETA decimates forests of trees and plants munching on "GORP!"
Vegetables of the World, Unite! You have nothing to lose but your place in PETA's warped food chain!

I had one of those nut cases on the radio one day and destroyed him. They are so stupid they make no sense at all.

When I saw this thread, I was going to post "It's just a matter of time until some loonbiscuit starts parading around dressed up like a fish."
Then I saw the picture and realized that my imagination is no match for the idiocy of the lunatic fringe.

PETA does know that "Finding Nemo" was a cartoon and not a documentary? They made the same mistake about Bambi.

Well if PETA feels this for fish they should have been on the beaches after the waves hit in Asis to help all of those fish that were thrown inland.
I saw some pictures and there were some really exotic looking fish on those beaches, wonder if any new unknown species were discovered?
To: KarlInOhio
I was just going to post: "Feed 'em to the fishes..."
LOL! Thanks for the photo!
