75 dead, 80 critical ...
Several godowns on the outskirts of the city were also raided, and manufacturers and suppliers of hooch were charged under the Prohibition Act.
Gee, if only this stuff were illegal, mass deaths like this wouldn't happen... (This is in India.)

Why did God allow this to happen? Should we have a crisis of faith? The media needs to tell me quickly!

Is liquor illegal in India? Well I'm not going to make any jokes considering people died from internal hemmoraging. Yuck...

"spurious liquor"?
Had some of that in college back in the 60s. Gave me the *trots* for a day, but no death. Yikes!

Y'know, back in the day, when my Caucasian-recyclable ancestors were running shine back up in the hills of Virginia, I don't ever remember anybody actually DYING from the stuff. Unless somebody running from a revenooer ran his car over a cliff, of course.
Was this some sort of particularly bad batch of Mad Cow 20/20 that got out on the streets?

liquor sold without any license or authorised preparation is illegal everywhere ,including in India. Most hooch tragedies result from consumption of distilled methanol-the luckier ones die,the unlucky ones go blind.

Oddly enough, you can use them now. Radiators in most cars are now made of plastic. Dunk one in a barrel of water and you can use it just fine for distilling your moonshine. However, I'd advise buying a new one. It's tough to get all of that antifreeze out of it.

Don't know about AC coils, I would have to agree with TXBSAFH
unused copper coils would be the way to go. That is if someone took it in their mind to manufacture untaxed liquor which would be illegal

Of course, hooch or moonshine is illegal everywhere. I was just wondering why they would bother making it if it was available. Lol, guess I'm just not informed ;-)
