CAIRO, December 29 (IslamOnline.net & News Agencies) Muslims in the four corners of the world joined the rest of humanity in the worlds biggest ever relief campaign to help the survivors of Asias worst earthquake in decades and the resulting tsunami amid warnings that epidemics could multiply the final death toll to over 100,000.
Leading US and UK Muslim organizations have launched online donations and appeals to people worldwide to immediately send contributions.
The Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the UK-based Islamic Relief took the initiative, asking all people of conscience to offer humanitarian assistance to the survivors and pray for the victims.
We extend our sincerest condolences to the families of those killed and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured as a result of the earthquake, CAIR Chairman Omar Ahmad said in a press release, a copy of which was sent to IslamOnline.net Tuesday, December 28.

An Emirates Red Crescent employee supervises the loading of aid containers.
This event will be used by sympathizers of AlQaida and other ME terrorist groups to do a bit of money laundering and resupplying of combatants.
This fellows are real real sick.Indonesia & India combined together have more Muslims than the Arab world put together many times over!!Yet they are called Asians.Maldives is also predominantly Muslim.
I can't help but wonder how many will be terrorists hoping to drive us out of the area.
Hmmm--seems to me I heard that Saudia Arabia pledged 10 million to help. 10 million!! They make that amount every five minutes from oil revenues?
what about aid to those in Iraq?
Gee, I just saw a report on CNN yesterday that said American Muslims weren't giving the way they could because they were afraid the charities they want to donate to might be on a terrorist watch list. And that American Muslims were disinclined to donate to any other, non-Muslim presumably, charities.
Didn't the homcide bomber telethon in SA a few years ago raise over $100 million?
It will be interesting to see whether they come close to that figure for this humanitarian effort.
BINGO!!!. Recruitment too.
That's a good excuse to keep for later. hehehe
I don't donate to the Red Cross for similar reasons, partly based on an old first-hand-experience episode with (or rather without) their assistance.
Show me the money. I'll believe it when I see it. Muzzies in America have a history of contributing to Muslim charities that spend a lot of money on Jihad related activities.
Some thoughtful FReeper posted a link with the Salvation Army's World Service contact info. We're donating to them.
Exactly how much aid have they given or pledged ?
Handing out copies of the koran does not count as aid ...
I wonder if they are soliciting prayers from the "infidels" too?
There was a report yesterday that officials in some countries (I don't remember whether it was local or country) refused help from Israel.
Israel, like the US, is always 'available' in the forefront for offering to provide aid.
Let's all praise the muslims for the humanitarians they are.
Muslims are rushing?
I thought the muslims were crying for America (who they view as a Christian nation) to come bail them out. Again.
This is a good thing.
