At least she didn't take up the Libs' mantra that the inaugauration will cost more than $35 million.

I did, however, like the comeback about giving an accountant who has lost $$ previously, i.e., the U.N., even more $$ to lose. Where's their personal, tax-free contribution I wonder? Or did that go for some year-end sales on $4000 suits and new Briggs and Riley luggage?

Where is the moral conviction of these countries that hate the US? How could any country that denounces our policies even be willing to ACCEPT aid from us? After all, we are an evil, imperialist nation, bent on world domination. Our money should be viewed (by them) as corrupt blood/oil money. Funny how that gets ignored when it is time to line up at the US teat......
I support aid to those who fell victim to this terrible disaster, but the hypocrisy of the world community is utterly astounding.

As far as I can tell from online research, Brooke Hart (Salkoff) graduated from Stanford in 1991. Timing wise, this would suggest she interned at the Justice Department during the Clinton Administration. Thus she's just another Democrat apparachnik hired as newsreader. Her working at PBS, CNN and NPR says it all.
As for Iraq, true, we're spending a lot of money there, not to restore infrastructure "ravaged by war" (it wasn't), but ravaged by a DECADE of ineffectual UN sanctions...
Yeah, it really has been "amateur hour" since NBC followed through on its threat to drop KRON for KNTV. Aside from coverage problems, catapulting a minor market station to sudden major market status made instant stars out of such total losers. NBC market share has subsequently dropped like a rock.
