That tsunami coverage vs. tsunami prevention toon is far too true! They probably hate Bush's proposal for a worldwide warning system; even if it'd save lives it would cut down on the amount of misery the media has to gleefully report!
And no offense to whoever made the Michael Moore Douche toon, but I don't think ANY woman would want to put Michael Moore anywhere near there. *shudder*

Did not the early reports of the Tsunami say the USA passed the word out about the earthquake they detected?
Where were the celebs demanding the early warning system?

I believe this is closer than most people think.
What we call New Year's is NOT the Jewish New Year, or the muslim New Year, but very much the Christian New Year.
Think about it ... 2005 years since what? Aaaaaaarrrgggghhh! Somebody call the aclu!
If not this year, then certainly by next year, New Year's Day will get the same treatment as Christmas.
