That would be my question too. The rest of the world
is too heathen and too pagan.

I don't understand your question "is the rest of the world to heathen?". Sounds like an incomplete sentence.

the liberty we prize is not America's gift to the world. It is God's gift to humanity. As an ordinary man, let me say, "that's the Spirit talking...not a man".

Agreed. He seems to be lead by the Spirit of God.
I have read the book God and W. It is very good. The man knows what it is like to be changed and directed by The Almighty. That is why sometimes even conservatives may get annoyed with him.

If you believe, along with him and John Calvin, that God involves himself in the workings of the world and all our lives, then you are always going to be vulnerable to the accusation that you think you have some sort of divine mandate. What a load of bull feathers! The only people who think they have a divine mandate are those that either define God the way they want Him to be, or decide that there is no higher authority then themselves. Many of us who believe God involves Himself with the workings of the world hold that such work is beyond our comprehension, and we are only a small part of a great mandate that we can not fully see. Thus we approach the concept of divine mandates with an appreciation for or own personal limitations.

When the lives of others are on your shoulders, it is pretty darn hard not to seek the will of God.
Unless, that is, you aren't a believer.
However, thx for your comment...keep it coming.

Have you had authority over the lives of other humans yet?In some limited ways. More so with my children.
When the lives of others are on your shoulders, it is pretty darn hard not to seek the will of God.
Darn straight. The trials of trying to raise our children the right way, has definatly caused my wife and I to pray and seek guidence more then just about any other issue.
