The only people who think they have a divine mandate are those that either define God the way they want Him to be, or decide that there is no higher authority then themselves.

When the lives of others are on your shoulders, it is pretty darn hard not to seek the will of God.

Unless, that is, you aren't a believer.

In some limited ways. More so with my children.

Darn straight. The trials of trying to raise our children the right way, has definatly caused my wife and I to pray and seek guidence more then just about any other issue.
