As the Asian quake and tsunami death toll topped 100,000 and is rising, President Bush said the United States' initial grant of $35 million in SE Asia was 'only the beginning of our aid.' He said the United States, India, Australia and Japan have formed an international coalition to coordinate worldwide relief and reconstruction efforts for the Asian region. Aid agencies today warned disease will also cause massive casualties among the survivors as the biggest relief effort in history began.
The president took issue with Jan Egeland, the United Nations' emergency relief coordinator who called the US "stingy" in regard to helping other nations. (Egeland later said his remarks were misinterpreted.) Bush noted that the United States provided $2.4 billion "in food, in cash, in humanitarian relief to cover the disasters for last year. ... That's 40 percent of all the relief aid given in the world last year."

QUOTE: "These past few days have brought loss and grief to the world that is beyond our comprehension. The United States will continue to stand with the affected governments as they care for the victims."

Under the Name That American Vying for the Distinction of Most Closely Resembling a Traitor Today category, former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark is joining Saddam Hussein's defense team and said Washington should be put on trial, per Saddam's spokesman and Aljezeera.net. Clark also said the US itself must be tried for the November assault on Falluja, destruction of houses, torture in prisons and its role in the deaths of thousands of Iraqis in the war.

Thanks. I thought I would give y'all an update on how our granddaughter and her friend are doing. She has a lot of pain from her elbow surgery plus all the other cuts on her face and hands. His nose is really bothering him. Some of her friends wanted her to come see them and they were going to come get her but she is afraid to ride with anyone except for her mom and me. This could have been so much more worse than it was. She and her friend still insists that they had guardian angels looking after them that night. Her's was Jan and his was his late mom. Her arm is not in a cast but is wrapped in gauze from her elbow to the tips of her fingers and she said her arm is really itching. She is a happy camper today though. Her dad in WA sent her 3 dozen red roses.

Ramsey Clark makes me sick. What a traitor, there was a day when he would have hung.
Thanks for the photos Gretchen!

Anyone remember which US President appointed Ramsey Clark to be Attorney General?

So, I've been wondering who's pulling Ramsey Clark's strings these days? Is he just doing this on his own, for attention just like a juvenile liberal would?
OR, does Clark have a master? Is he jumping into this at the bidding of somebody else? And who?
FoxNews just about to cover this on Brits show...
