Snohomish County (WA) Disallows BBQ's Mural
My ex-wife | 12/28/04 | Some Seattle Based 11pm News

My ex-wife just phoned me.

Apparently in the historic district of Snohomish, WA a new BBQ place is opening up. The owner had painted a huge mural of pigs on the side of his building. The Snohomish City Government has ordered the owner to cover the mural because the pigs are "naked."

If I can find a link, I'll post it.

Beginning of a new urban legend. There was an urban legend that I heard a few years back that Donald Duck was banned in Sweden because he wears no pants.

Yeah, that's what I immediately thought of too when I heard it.

And I know my version sounds fishy, "My ex-wife called to tell me she saw on a newscast..." (and she can't remember which newscast).

It'll be easy enough to find out though. Snohomish is just a 30 minute drive from where I am.

Last Monday we did a double take while shopping in Rapid City, SD.
Tuesday, we went back and had dinner at Uncle Tom's Rib Shack.

Had to get in before it (or at least the name) disappeared, and we'll go back; the 55 miles is well worth it.

There was an Uncle Tom's Chicken in South Florida a few years back. It was a black owned business too.

Pigs should only be represented as God intended them.....dressed in dowdy clothes and stuttering. (T'tha' t'tha' that's all, folks!)

I believe the owner here is black, also. I do know (from wait staff) he is from Texas, and claims to have catered the Bushes.

I intend to try learning more when we go back.

Saw a sign on a rib joint that said, "Heaven on a Bone". We never ate there, but I love that name.
