Recipe for a Happy New Year
To leave the old with a burst of song To recall the right and forgive the wrong; To forget the thing that binds you fast To the vain regrets of the year that's past; To have the strength to let go your hold Of the not worthwhile of the days grown old, To dare to go forth with a purpose true, To the unknown task of the year that's new; To help your brother along the road To do his work and lift his load; To add your gift to the world's good cheer, Is to have and to give a Happy New Year.

Hey, Sarge!! Wireless is wunnerful! I love it. When both girls were (and sometimes still are) home with their laptops as well as me with my laptops, it's the ONLY way to go. Saves on wires running everywhere. Good luck on getting the car done soon.

We're learning that here, too, Gum. A little more research is needed, but between me and our Commo guy, we shoudl be able to work miracles once we hit Mob Station.

Kittens are so funny. They play and play and play, and then fall asleep in seconds.
This guy seems to be learning the fine art of lapping milk

Sorry...slow to respond 'cause I've been on the phone with my honey. I've been at my folks for a few days. My bro and I bought them a new digital camera and printer dock for Christmas, and they have an old desktop computer that I passed down to them. It is on it's last legs, so Dad decided to buy a new one. I've been setting it all up for them and teaching them how to use it. They've done GREAT!!! We've had a ball. Mother and I got out boxes and boxes of old photos and went through them, too. Some of them date back to her great-grandparents. I brought a bunch home to scan. So neat!
My two daughters were there for a couple of days, but the younger had to come back to work, as did the older. HOwever, the older one flew to NY City today to celebrate New Years with some friends. She bought a cheap (very cheap) ticket several months ago so she could. She's staying with a friend, so not much expense involved for her. She works so hard, both at a job and in grad school, I was glad she got to go!
Did you have a good Christmas? Being with my family was the BEST part of Christmas for me.

Just had that happen. Little Annie just fell asleep hugging one of my feet. Seconds before she was chasing my cat, Rita, through the house!

Great letter, Meekie. I hope President Bush ignores the "let's denigrate everything conservative" crowd, including McLame and crowd, and carries on with Rumsfeld. I also wish he'd stop being nice to the dims (I know, I know) and play hardball with them. They think they still run everything, and the idiot RINOS are such a drag.
