Recipe for a Happy New Year
To leave the old with a burst of song To recall the right and forgive the wrong; To forget the thing that binds you fast To the vain regrets of the year that's past; To have the strength to let go your hold Of the not worthwhile of the days grown old, To dare to go forth with a purpose true, To the unknown task of the year that's new; To help your brother along the road To do his work and lift his load; To add your gift to the world's good cheer, Is to have and to give a Happy New Year.

I'm physically at work, but my head is elsewhere. We're closed Friday and I may play hooky tomorrow to go down to B'ham to see a co-worker whose hubby has been in the hospital for going on a month now. Bad situation overall -I just hope he can rally and pull through this.

Today's FEEBLE
YOKE :
A Texan, a Russian and a New Yorker go into a restaurant in London.
The waiter says, "Excuse me, but you should be advised that if you want the steak, there is a shortage."
The Texan says, "What's a shortage?"
The Russian says, "What's a steak?"
The New Yorker says, "What's 'Excuse me'?"
