"Rice is the only person who can stop Hillary Clinton from being president." Here is where Morris is dead wrong. Rice is not very well liked by most liberal blacks. The things they say about Rice are horrible!

HOW HILLARY BECOMES PRESIDENT IN '08?
She chooses Satan for her running mate.
To: areafiftyone
This from a guy who said she would never run for senator. Then he said she would not get elected. Why does anyone listen to him. He will tell you what you want to hear or fear.

"Rice is the only person who can stop Hillary Clinton from being president." I expect to see a Guliani/Rice ticket in '08.

A lot can happen over 4 years. If the Bushies would get a back bone and play with the big dawgs, they could crush Shillary long before any primary.

The only way the Bushies could crush Hillary is if they have a major candidate who is familiar to people and has star quality. There is no way any old senator or Governor could beat Hillary!

Didn't Morris say she had a plan to be the nominee in 2004 and then that she had the v.p. slot in 2004?

young black friends of mine report "we're not going to vote for white men for president, anymore".
i guess that means that the wife of "the first black president" will get their votes.

"Rice is not very well liked by most liberal blacks." She would also not win the support of much of the conservative base. A pro-abortion Republican presidential candidate is a colossally bad idea.

Morris is always making predictions about Hillary. I have no doubt that she will make a run for it in 2008 because the Dems need someone who has Star Power and can bring in the big bucks and Hillary can do that. I don't see any Democrat who can beat Hillary's star power right now. Not even Howard Dean can do it. The Dems are sooo disgusted with the group that ran in 2004 that they want someone with name recognition after their disaster in 2004. Hillary is that person!

I don't believe that Hillary will win 08 - she's far too polarizing. But if, IF, one wanted to entertain that idea, she'd need at least a 15% margin to wipe out the GOP gains in the Senate and in the House. THAT is NOT going to happen. Being President and having one's ideas challenged and changed by the House and Senate is not that joyful of an experience. Ask Bill Clinton in his second year.
Hillary will not win in 08.
To: ken21
Well then they will have to wait a long time to vote for president because I don't think Rice will run. Unless the Dems push Obama for president in 2008 which they very well could do.

She probably is going to restore the Hispanic margin to 30-points, as opposed to the ten-point margin Kerry had. Sometimes Dick Morris just says stuff, and I wonder from where he has pulled it. This makes no sense.

Don't underestimate Hillary. She said she would not run for Senator in NY and she did. The dems are very in need of star power right now and Hillary can get the woman and black vote right now hands down. Even some moderate women do not hate Hillary.

"I expect to see a Guliani/Rice ticket in '08." Not a chance, not if the Republicans want to continue to be the more conservative party. I just don't think they're that stupid. They would certainly lose Christian conservatives, and that is a large part of their base. Moral people are not going to vote for candidates who support abortion. Period. For many of us, that is our line in the sand.

She already has the well-oiled Clinton machine in place and full operation.
So far, no Pub is even close. The Republicans need to find a superstar candidate, and fast. Guliani, Powell, Rice, Gingrich, Frist, Lindsay, etc., won't do it. The Pubs need a fresh face and more right (not left, Arnold) of center.
Hillary's anti-illegal-aliens stand has already put her to the right of GWB and Co. She will stay out of the public venue until after her re-election to the Senate. Then, she will be full-force, gung-ho toward the White House for '08.
