Few are aware that a major geological fault line runs from the Ramapo Valley right through Manhattan. Has NYC prepared for an earthquake, as well?

I doubt it. Given the construction materials used since colonial days, it would be devastating. I can't imagine an earthquake plan that would work.
I'm aware of the fault line.
This will be interesting to note on tremors.
Do you remember the tremor in 1985 I believe it was? My Grandfather ran out in the street yelling with his Italian accent "tremor tremor". He must have had flashbacks from Palermo.
I once read that there is a large however dormant fault line running across Upstate NY... once a few years ago we even felt a minor earthquake. It made me think about what happens when it decides to shift. We're not ready for that sort of thing up here, that's for sure.
