The man accused of killing six deer hunters in northwestern Wisconsin has another a court appointment this week in Hayward.
Chai Soua Vang, from St. Paul, Minnesota, faces six counts of murder in the November 21st shootings, which started after a dispute over a tree stand on private property in southern Sawyer County. Six Rice Lake area residents were killed and two wounded in the shooting spree. Vang was not wounded.
Vang's preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday to determine if there is enough evidence for a trial.
The 36-year-old remains in the Sawyer County jail on a two-point-five (m) million dollar bond.
WEAU-TV 13 News plans to carry the court hearing live beginning at 9:00am on Wednesday morning, December 29th.

ALLEGED deer hunter killer? Is he saying somebody else did it? Unless he's pulling an O.J. and is hunting for the "real killers", he may be an ALLEGED murderer, but he IS a deer hunter killer.

Vang was not wounded. Typical media slime hinting that this was a shootout instead of cold-blooded murder.

No doubt, particularly when he's already admitted to the shootings.

Typical media slime hinting that this was a shootout instead of cold-blooded murder. Yep, and no mention of trespassing to the location of the tree stand, just the fact that it was private property, allowing the incorrect assumption that Vang was invited.

The only thing I can think of is if they meant to imply that the victims were not very competent deer hunters, thus making Vang a killer of "alleged deer hunters".

Alleged.
Trespassing; sitting in a blind; shoots 6 people; alleged ....deer hunter?
The judge immediately excuses me from jury duty.

.....or perhaps the animals they were hunting were only ALLEGED deer

IIRC, he's claiming self-defense.

A few years before another hunter was murdered in a similar fashion by a tresspasser not far from the Rice Lake area..
A small pickup was seen leaving the area with what appeared to be three Hmongs in it...
Vang had a Wisconsin deer license that same year and was hunting in Wisconsin...
