Lauren Green covered this in a news break on Fox and Friends this morning. She reported that an ambulance was called and medics on the scene stated she was intoxicated at the time.

An overweight, raging alcoholic with two artificial hips who’s almost a decade his senior and barely over 5 ft tall. Couldn’t he have run for his life? Or, come to that, strolled for his life?

As the talk-show host Jon Stewart observed, “There is no conceivable amount of money worth telling the world that you were beaten up by Liza Minnelli.”

I saw the TRIO special Christmas night. Judy looked pretty bombed on camera. Liza was young, vibrant, and a very good performer at that point.

Watching that show highlights the fact that money and fame can be a curse, as opposed to something to be sought after.
