Keep in prayer for the Vietnam Human Rights Bill. It is presently in the Senate after passing by a wide margin in the House. |

"Actor DON DUONG was then pressed by the Communists to sign a confession, which he refused to do"
The ignorant hick Politburo in Hanoi may have believed this was a good way to "get back" at Duong, who was gaining increasing success both in Vietnam and internationally.
But instead they demonstrated their own petty and jealous backwardness on the world stage, for all to see. Don Duong, on the other hand, is on his way to U.S. citizenship, and hopefully working on more and even better films with his extremely talented Vietnamese-American relatives.

We Were Soldiers...And We Still Are!
Oh? I guess you've never heard of persecution in China, North Korea, Vietnam (one of the worst and still is). Of COURSE Christians are sent to be re-educated (tortured and killed is more like it). You need to read Voice of the Martyrs. It's going on still today.
I guess you've never been to China or Vietnam. I have. You are wrong.
Thanks, Ronnie. I think I may have told you this before, but as the wife of a retired career soldier (one tour Korea, two COMPLETE tours Vietnam), thank you for your service to our country and to the young troops who have succeeded you. It can never be said too often.
No, I'm not wrong. I read about the persecuted church in these countries all the time. We get missionaries who go into these nations and maybe you can't see the persecution because they don't want you to, but people get arrested all the time for being Christians. Get a copy of Voice of the Martyrs. It's a real eye opener.
I see non-persecuted churches in these countries all the time.

No, people in Vietnam are arrested who happen to be Christian. They are not arrested FOR being Christian. It is a tangent issue. They are arrested for other things. Of course, saying that will not encourage you to buy some 'Action Packs'.
I know there are 'acceptable' churches in these countries but the born again churches/pentecostal ones are not acceptable. Get Voice of the Martyrs. It will educate you.

"..but to many in the armed forces, Vietnam as a war actually was on its way to succeeding when the Nixon Adminstration and Congress, bowing to public impatience, pulled the plug: first withdrawing U.S. combat troops and then blocking funding and supplies to the South Vietnamese army."
"...if they hadn't, the South Vietnamese army, which had been bolstered by U.S. Advisors and a more focused 'hearts and minds' campaign in the later stages of the war, could have been able to fend off the communist North, many military thinkers have argued."

NEVER FORGET this,
...for the former members of the South Vietnamese Military sure haven't, nor have they ever forgotten the prices they and their loved ones had to pay after we abandoned them all in the end.
NEVER AGAIN...!!!!!
