Clinton Blasts Kerry Campaign Manager
NewsMax ^ | 12/26/04 | Carl Limbacher

Bill Clinton is blasting Mary Beth Cahill, the Kennedy political operative who took over John Kerry's failed presidential campaign and, according to the ex-president, ran it into the ground.

Columnist Robert Novak reports that Clinton was talking recently to a close associate when he compared Cahill with Bush political guru Karl Rove.

"That's all you have to know," huffed the ex-prez, dismissively.

Not that the "Man from Hope" has much to boast about himself as far as the November presidential election is concerned.

Noted the Weekly Standard two weeks after Kerry lost:

"Every candidate that Clinton endorsed, raised money for, or conducted a campaign appearance on behalf of, lost. Toss up Senate races in which Clinton appeared all went against the Democrats . . . . In swing states where Clinton put in appearances, such as Arizona and his home state of Arkansas, Kerry also lost."

Kerry campaign aides are reportedly bitter about the bum political advice they got from top Clintonistas James Carville and Stan Greenberg - not to mention the ex-prez himself.

"When Carville and Greenberg tell reporters that the campaign was missing a defining narrative, they forget that they were the ones insisting we had to keep beating the domestic-issues drum," Kerry brother-in-law David Thorne griped to columnist Arianna Huffington last month.

Tom Vallely, the Vietnam War veteran whom Kerry tapped to lead the response to the Swiftvet attacks, told Huffington: "The Clinton team, though technically skillful, could not see reality — they could only see their version of reality. And that was always about pivoting to domestic issues."

Two weeks later Carville's one-time partner Paul Begala fired back, saying the Kerry political operation was "a disaster" that couldn't be blamed on the slew of Clinton operatives who were running the campaign in the final weeks.

The Clinton Curse continues. Clinton has run out of steam since he left office. In fact the Clinton Curse started while he was in office. He presided over the biggest and for now the most terrible and humiliating defeat the Democrats have ever had, the 1994 Congressional Races and it has been downhill from there.
On one hand Clinton is all the Dems have and on the other is the biggest Albatross around their neck they have. We can only hope Clinton sticks around for at least a few more election cycles until he truly becomes a parody of himself.

The ultimate example of one of the core Dem flaws, failure to assume any responsibility - In this case they can't shift blame to W or other Reps so they do the next best thing - Blame other Dems. A fun-to-watch feeding frenzy.

You can argue whether Cahill or Clinton did more to damage Kerry's campaign. But the bottom line is that Kerry is incompetent to tie his own shoelaces. He can't run a campaign, far less a country.

He's very good at marrying rich women and spending their money, but that seems to be the extent of his talents.

I was about to suggest that! If all the candidates he endorses lose, will Hill keep him locked up? LOL

Anyway, looks like the Clinton/Kennedy feud is heating up a bit. Should be entertaining. With their successor, JFK Jr., gone the Kennedy's will lose this fight, but they can certainly win a few bloody rounds if desirous.

You're on taget... Big Time. Ever thought of penning a book? Thank you. Merry Christmas, and have a Happy Freeper New Year. Mark and Karen from NC.

Now let's hope W gets his Judges in place before the end of his term! (I almost said 'next term'). Sigh.

I suspect, with the world changing so rapidly, that Hillary! will be old news in 2008.

"The Clinton team, though technically skillful, could not see reality..."

Uh...that was definitely a problem with John Kerry and his looney supporters, and it's a fundamental problem of the Democrat Party--in fact, of the entire Left. On the other hand, the Clinton team sees reality rather clearly.

I don't get it...

Kerry lost, and Bubba is complaining? Isn't that what he wanted?

Or is he complaining that Mary Beth Cahill, and not he, is getting credit for running the Kerry campaign into the ground?

Know what? I wouldn't be surprised.

I am not of belief Hill is a foregone conclusion. IMO, people want a fresh face. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rep and Dem candidates are not among the listings we've seen so far. Wouldn't be surprised if they appear to have come from nowhere to suddenly dominate their own races.

Isn't to say she won't fight for the nomination, or that people like Hagel & McCain won't give it their best shot. Just my feeling that the American people have a certain shelf life for any individual before they get sick of them. Hill's biggest mistake was making herself too well known early in her husband's Presidency. She may only been a Senator for less than one term, but you have to add 8 years of Bill's presidency to the mix.

Beyond my dislike, I've just tired of hearing her name for well over a decade. My guts says the American people feel the same weariness and likely resent the air she is 'entitled to the throne" as it were.

=====
Oh, and he will. Hillary has enough on him to put him away for about ten life terms in Federal prison (well maybe just five). Hillary has spent all these years, living in an empty world of zero self-respect, zero ethics, zero morals and values...all for the single quest and purpose of the far-left Dems -- absolute POWER AND CONTROL. They serve or offer nothing else to America but their own power-hungry lust for control. Good socialists.

Yep, bring on Hillary. If played right by a GOOD SOLID REPUB candidate, she could be the nail in the socialist's coffin in America. Let us pray for rain -- lots of it.
