Why am I not surprised that this liberal reverand doesn't know his own religion?

Mary and Joseph weren't homeless, they were traveling and they couldn't find an inn with available space. Also, Jesus was meant to be born to the lower classes.

I thought that there was a criminal investigation being conducted on the Reverend for using tax exempt dollars for personal use? Or is that on the shelf next to the Sandy Berger investigation?????

My fondest wish is that Jesse Jackson goes broke and becomes Homeless himself and is reduced to grubbing for pennies in the gutter where he belongs.

If it was up to Jessie and his ilk......
Jesus would have gone to a public school that left HIM marginally literate and without the skills of a carpenter which HE received Via HOME SCHOOLING !!!!

If jesse wants to disregard the fact that Jesus' birth in the manger was part of God's divine plan, he should at least acknowledge that Mary and Joseph were not homeless. They lived in Nazareth and only went to Bethlehem because the Roman census being taken at the time required them to return to Joseph's home town to be counted.
Bethlehem was a small town that didn't have a hotel/motel industry capable of accommodating all the returning expatriates. Which is why there was no room at the inn.
For the "reverend" jesse jackson to suggest otherwise is either a blatant illustration of his own ignorance, or a sad example of how stupid he thinks the rest of us are.

Jesse's really lost it. This is the most ridiculous argument I've ever heard from him.

ACtually, Jesus was a wandering Rabii who WAS homeless. Jesus would have told Jesse to shut up and get out there and help people instead of spounging off the public trough. I get tired of people who say they know what Jesus would have done, without reading about what he said and did. The government is NOT suppose to take care of the poor, sick, or otherwise needy. WE are!

And he was black, queer, developmentally disordered, rather short by Roman warrior standards, and spoke with wild gesticulations, but he eventually managed to work his way up to become a somewhat successful itinerant fisherman.

"In the last [Bush] budget, we cut housing again, and that was Jesus' dilemma. In Bethlehem, his family ended up homeless," Jackson told MSNBC's Campbell Brown.

I'm sure I'm not the first to point out that Mary and Joseph had a home in Nazereth, they were in Bethlehem to pay newly imposed taxes, they stayed in the manger because the inn was full ... of taxpayers and Joseph was gainfully employed as a carpenter from which income he was there to pay taxes on.

I hope this latest pile of verbal cow patties from the good Revrund helps clear up for millions of fine Bible reading black American Democrats that Je$$e Jack$on is nothing but a race-baiting, Bible-pimping liar.

Jesus was not homeless. There might not been a room in the inn, but His parents lived in Nazareth. They were traveling because an imperial government demanded they travel as a prelude to increased taxation.

************

Since when is the inability to find a hotel room while traveling the same as being homeless? Jackson is doing his usual manipulation here.

Note to Jesse: You are an idiot. The feds spend almost $8,000 per year per capita. What, in your feeble mind, is "enough"? By the way, Jesus was not "homeless," as you have asserted. Did they live in Bethlehem? You saying that Jesus was homeless is like you saying I am homeless whenever I have to rent a hotel. But what can we expect? Liberals have a difficult time dealing with reality.
