Jesse Jackson: Bush Would Have Left Jesus Homeless
NewsMax ^ | Dec 24, 2004 | Limbacher

President Bush has implemented economic policies that resemble those of the Roman Empire, which forced the baby Jesus into homelessness on the night of his birth, former civil rights leader Rev. Jesse Jackson said in a pre-Christmas rant late Thursday.

"In the last [Bush] budget, we cut housing again, and that was Jesus' dilemma. In Bethlehem, his family ended up homeless," Jackson told MSNBC's Campbell Brown.

"Rome was a wealthy country that left Jesus and Mary and Joseph, in a sense, homeless," he complained. "He was born an at-risk baby."

The GOP bashing Democrat said that while Bush's reelection campaign had been successful in "marketing the language of religious values," the Bush White House isn't practicing what it preaches.

Jackson charged that under Bush's policies, the U.S. "appears to be indifferent toward the poor as we seek tax cuts and no-bid contracts for the wealthy; as we engage in wars of choice - driving our nation into isolation."

"Today we are celebrating the wealthy and war, not the poor and peace," he contended, while urging the Bush administration to "restore the Lyndon Baines Johnson vision where we wipe out poverty - not wipe out the poor."

I think J.J. must have a few extra verses in his Bible that nobody else knows about, where it says:

"Thou shalt allow the government to take the lions share of thy wealth so that it may redistribute it to the poor. Else ye be not a good person, for has not the government more wisdom of charity than even the smartest of peasants?"

And the truth of the matter is that who ever taught you that was quite wrong. There is no scripture to back it up and scripture that says the opposite.

I concede that I could very well be wrong. I want to research it and find out for certain. The last thing I ever want to do is misrepresent the word of God.

I'm not trying to prove myself correct, just want to be certain. I'll let you know what I find out.

Also, Merry Christmas!

I'll look forward to learning whatever you find out ... and you shouldn't feel bad about it! I've never bought the idea that God is going to ZOT us if we misunderstand something!

Yeah, He's pretty forgiving that way. I'd still like to at least shoot for accuracy.

Jesse Jackson would have tried to extort $$ from Jesus. I'm not so sure he's not trying that now on some level.

Considering "reverend" Jesse's feelings toward Jews (NYC=Heimytown) I suspect Jesse would have dissed Jeshua and the other Jewish apostles. Probably would have tried to extort protection money and no doubt would have developed inside contacts with Jeshua through Judas Iscariot, who loved embezzling money.

Fair enough. Lots of things that are not scripture get taught sometimes. The angels never sang at the birth of Jesus for example.

Merry Christmas to you too.

I wonder how long it's been since Je$$e Jack$on actually read a bible and would he fall over in shock if he ever did?

The angels never sang at the birth of Jesus for example.

Now, we don't know that for certain. We only know that the Gospel does not specifically mention their singing. However, Luke says that the "multitude of the Heavenly Host" was "praising God ..." That could have been singing. (/hairsplitting textual analysis)

It's easy:

< font size=5 color=red>Merry Christmas</font>

Then hit the preview button to see if it appears the way you want it to. Don't be afraid to experiment with HTML. I'm just learning it myself.

Just copy and paste what I have above to try it. It's fun.

"It was meant to show Christ's humility. It was planned to occur that way by our Sovereign Lord..."

So are you also saying by implication that God planned Christ's crucifiction? I never heard that God had planned anything for Christ. I don't know anyone that believes that either. As a human on earth, Jesus was free to do what He pleased and chose to do His Father's will. I don't believe God pre-programmed Jesus for anything.

The Rectum Je$$e Jack$on would never have left the baby Jesus homeless....Without shaking down, Mary, Joseph, Jesus, the three wise men, and everybody else in Bethlehem first.

In Jesse's world, Jesus would not have survived the abortion.

"Rome was a wealthy country that left Jesus and Mary and Joseph, in a sense, homeless," he complained. "He was born an at-risk baby."

If there is "no room at the inn", is that Rome's fault?

Jesse Jackson is obviously an ordained idiot.

Mary and Joseph were in Bethlehem for the Roman census. Joseph being of the lineage of David had to go to Bethlehem to be counted. The little town was crowded and as we all know, there was no room in the inn.

It was God's plan that Jesus be born in a stable, and not Rome's economic policies.

If Jesse Jackson was half the "reverend" he claimed to be, he would be telling the truth and furthering the Gospel accordingly.

Well, I can hope and pray, can't I?

He's really not interested in the truth, and the Gospel is just a tool to be used to achieve his evil ends.
