The new leader of the ruling Fatah movement said the Palestinians want to replace Israel with a state of their own.
Fatah chief Farouk Khaddoumi said the Palestinian strategy toward Israel was two-fold. In the first stage, he said, the Palestinians would accept a Palestinian state alongside Israel. In the second stage, the Palestinians would seek to eliminate the Jewish state.
In November, Khaddoumi replaced the late Yasser Arafat as leader of Fatah, Middle East Newsline reported.
"At this stage there will be two states," Khaddoumi told Iran's Al Aram television. "Many years from now, there will be only one."
Khaddoumi, who regards himself as Palestinian foreign minister, said he was confident that Israel would be eliminated. He said he always opposed Israel's existence and cited the Arab numerical superiority over the Jewish state.
"[There are] 300 million Arabs, while Israel has only the sea behind it," Khaddoumi said.
Khaddoumi said his platform was endorsed by the PLO in 1974. He said the strategy called for a phased plan that would establish authority over any territory obtained from Israel, concluding with an Arab war to destroy the Jewish state.
[On Thursday, the Palestinian Authority launched the first municipal elections in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in more than 25 years. The PA has been promising such elections since 1996.]
The Fatah chief played down the powers of PA ministers. Khaddoumi said the Fatah Central Committee marked the source of authority for the PA and Cabinet.
"The Palestinian Authority is a partial authority," Khaddoumi said. "It is a local government, just like any local government in any country. We shouldn't delude ourselves that these 'ministers' are actually ministers."

They want nukes so they can do the ultimae suicide decapitation strike. They're gonna hope they can nuke the entire state at once without allowing Israel time to prepare. Then they'll hold Eruope as hostage just daring anyone to try and launch an attack. At that point we'll see Arabs across the region, in normal cowards' fashion, come out the woodwork and act tough since they have nuclear weapons. We'll then have to weigh our options and decide if we want to play Rome to their Carthage or play Denethor to their Sauron.
Many different peoples have been nearly exterminated, American Indians, Jews, several different African tribes and I can't think of any group of people more deserving of extermination then the palestinians.

There is a name for this strategy, i forget what it is called. It is quite old... Arafat repeadly referenced it and Clinton and the appeasing Israelis dismissed it as a political neccesity type talk. Arafat was dead serious.
Arafat in an October 21 speech at the Dehaishe refugee camp:
"We know only one word: jihad, jihad, jihad. When we stopped the intifada, we did not stop the jihad for the establishment of a Palestinian state whose capital is Jerusalem. And we are now entering the phase of the great jihad prior to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state whose capital is Jerusalem...We are in a conflict with the Zionist movement and the Balfour Declaration and all imperialist activities." PA Planning Minister Nabil Shaath at a symposium:
"If the negotiations reach a dead end, we shall go back to the struggle and strife, as we did for 40 years. It is not beyond our capabilities...If and when Israel will say, 'That's it, we won't talk about Jerusalem, we won't return refugees, we won't dismantle settlements, and we won't retreat from borders,' then all the acts of violence will return. Except that this time we'll have 30,00 armed Palestinian soldiers who will operate in areas in which we have unprecedented elements of freedom" (Jerusalem Post, March 15, 1996)
Arafat further stated that the Oslo Accord was akin to the temporary truce between Muhammad and the Quraish tribe, which was later broken:
"This agreement, I am not considering it more than the agreement which had been signed between our prophet Muhammad and Quraish, and you remember that the Caliph Omar had refused this agreement and considered it a despicable truce ... But the same way Muhammad had accepted it, we are now accepting this peace effort." (Ha'aretz, May 23, 1994)

He's forgetting about WHO, not what, is behind Israel. God gave Abraham and his progeny the land of Israel (actually a much larger area than present day Israel) to be their's FOREVER.
The earth is the Lord's, and he gives it to whomever he pleases. The Arabs occupied most of the land promised to Abraham's progeny for over 1300 years, but never in all that time did they OWN one square inch of it.

This is called "THE PLO'S 'PHASED PLAN'", origianlly adopted in 1974 and said to be 'outdated', BUT NEVER SO.
Arafat had referred top it several times in the 90's, as late I think as 1998.

The PLO's "Phased Plan"
In the October 1973 Yom Kippur War, the Arab states launched a surprise attack against Israel on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. Once again they tried to eliminate Israel, further motivated this time by the desire to redeem their honor after their major defeat in the 1967 Six-Day War. Though Israel was initially caught off guard, it then regrouped and repelled the Arab attack, but not before incurring heavy casualties.
The war convinced the Arabs that they would not be able to destroy Israel militarily within its post-1967 boundaries. Thus they embarked upon a new three-stage strategy for Israel's destruction, embodied in the PLO's 1974 decision commonly known as the Phased Plan (the text of which is below).
The plan in brief:
1. Through the "armed struggle" (i.e., terrorism), to establish an "independent combatant national authority" over any territory that is "liberated" from Israeli rule. (Article 2)
2. To continue the struggle against Israel, using the territory of the national authority as a base of operations. (Article 4)
3. To provoke an all-out war in which Israel's Arab neighbors destroy it entirely ("liberate all Palestinian territory"). (Article 8)
Today, the Phased Plan remains relevant. Speaking just after the 1993 revelation of the Israel-PLO accord, PLO Chairman Yasser Arafat announced that the historic agreement "will be a basis for an independent Palestinian state in accordance with the Palestine National Council resolution issued in 1974.... The PNC resolution issued in 1974 calls for the establishment of a national authority on any part of Palestinian soil from which Israel withdraws or which is liberated." (Radio Monte Carlo, 1 September 1993)
It is worth noting that the PLO's term for the self-rule council now in place in Gaza and the West Bank is the "Palestinian National Authority," echoing the language of the Phased Plan.
Also note that Articles 5-6 call for a revolution in Jordan to establish a new Jordanian regime which will ally itself with the Palestinian National Authority. Historically, Jordan comprised the bulk of the Palestine territory, and a majority of its residents are of Palestinian origin. The PLO has never recognized the legitimacy of Kingdom of Jordan as a state independent of Palestine.
