The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

WASHINGTON - A terrorist attack on a tanker loaded with liquefied natural gas could cause massive damage a third of a mile away and could send a vapor cloud billowing more than 1.5 miles, government scientists say.

With the the nation clamoring for more natural gas, policy-makers are trying to figure out how to safely import large quantities of liquefied natural gas or LNG.

Ahh, I didn't know it was on last night and is a two-parter. Oh well.

Most probably they'll do a quick synopsis of last night's show and launch into the finale afterward. So was I the only one not watching Desperate Housewives? I usually don't watch TV at all, except I caught the ME connection of the 24 show and decided to watch a show or two and see if it is in any way the show they've hyped it up to be.

The paper revealed that Zakariya Zubeidi, the fugitive leader of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Jenin, and other Fatah leaders gave Abu Mazen a letter expressing their interest in joining the PA security services.

"And I declare we should ourselves join the global Islamic camp against the global crusade camp," he said.


What violated the covenant, according to Sheikh Omar, was the anti-terrorist legislation introduced in the United Kingdom after the 9/11 attacks. If the British government would review these policies and release those detained without trial in Belmarsh prison and elsewhere, Muslims could live at peace in Britain. Otherwise, they must prepare themselves to fight."

Remote controlled cameras on freeway ramps, well maybe on some, but not many that I've seen. Multiple on some streets and avenues, but installed camera locations are spotty at best.

The one redeeming factor is the portrayal of the relentless demeanor of the "terrorists" to achieve their goal. It also serves to show how many purportedly live "just like us" who intend to do us grievous harm. If it motivates some to be more watchful of these "neighbors" who live among us, it can't be a bad thing.
