The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

When prisoner's rights supercede law enforcement rights, something is horrifically wrong. The ACLU has a large handprint in this travesty.

A long press conference just concluded and I'll type my notes here.

Anyone who has read your posts and lives near railroad track with trains that carry chemicals has due cause to be very seriously concerned about safety protocol and their family's personal safety. One of the TV news channels reported tonight that a missile or missiles projected into chemical laden railcar(s) in a large city could kill tens of thousands. I don't know about that projected number of casualties, but certainly it could be catastrophic.

...but am curious about the storm fronts...

Hey Skeggs - speaking of the weather, I understand you are under it. Please get well soon!

We're expecting between 4-8 inches of snow tonight, that on top of what is already on the ground. Brrrrrrrr - hot cocoa or tea with lemon next on my agenda! Goodnite all!

I shouldn't forget CA, I grew up there.. It's hard to remember there are states 3,000 miles away sometimes. :)

You live in Northern or Southern CA? I used to live up in the high desert NE of LA.

We're expecting that tomorrow on top of the 9" we got yesterday. It was a slow winter prior to this though, it's nice to have snow on the ground. :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
IMHO this is more drain our economy and keep LEO'S busy before the big one.
Back before 9-11 when Atta was doing all his planing. He came to the Ducktown/Murphy airport. Small very small.
Atta had been flying around our great nation looking for targets. In Ducktown/Copper Basin were huge copper mines that have been shut down by EPA sometime around 1985 (?).
At the mines all they were doing at the time before 9-11 were getting the gases out like gasses for ammonia sodium nitrate ding ding(ALA Oklahoma City bombing).
Well by the time Atta got here all that was left were train cars. Attia questioned the guy at the airport asking what was over there and was disbelieving that there was nothing there anymore.
All these little train accidents, burnings and such make me think they are just toying with us. I had started to relax and was using up our emergency supplies but I have stocked back up. TIN FOIL TIME!
Some might find this useful it is a little over the top but it worked for Ezekiel! You can live on this bread and water for a long time. Oh Dear GOD don't let it come to this.
The Taliban (Taleban) has never completely deceased, but they are still active. How active they really are is the question.
I spent much of last semester studying Afghanistan. I wrote a paper largely dealing with what I believe is going on there now. I should have it up in a day or too, I'll post it when it's on the web.
U.S., Iraqi Officials Fear 'Spectacular' Attacks
To be honest, I am kind of out of the loop with regards to this stuff right now...
I have noticed that there seems to be a bit of a power struggle between Zarqawi and the other bigs of AQ. I strongly believe he will be the next to take credit for a large scale attack (ala Madrid, or bigger). Though, I would not be surprised to see Iraqi elections held without much of a problem...
