Right you need some type of contact alarms so that either a sound or light or both comes on if Dad takes a walk again.
Yep.
I always have lemon in my iced tea.
I found this article about Al Qaeda and the gangs:

Al Qaeda seeks tie to local gangs
Thanks RR! Two brothers and a sister watch over my mother who is in a small "care center." She is well tended and happy there. She told me she misses her home (and I'm sure she does), but in her condition she cannot possibly be left alone. She does not want to come West to live and my siblings are not home to watch over her. I admire what you are doing for your parents. When we lived in Phoenix, we had a zone alarm that alerted when the patio door to the swimming pool was opened. Something like that may be the answer you seek!

Islamic group accused of terrorist ties sues federal government
Associated Press
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A Columbia charity accused of having ties to international terrorists has filed suit against the federal government.
Lawyers for the Islamic American Relief Agency, also known as IARA-USA, have asked a Washington, D.C., judge to overturn a decision by the U.S. Treasury Department that has kept much of the group's assets off-limits for months.
On Oct. 13, the FBI's regional terrorism task force seized computers and records from the charity's Columbia office and the home of a former executive director and president. In addition, the Treasury Department froze IARA-USA's assets.

Germany gets Bin Laden guard off UN, US blacklists
05 January 2005
BERLIN: A former bodyguard of Osama bin Laden, recently freed from prison in Germany, has been removed from the United Nations' and United States terror blacklists in a rare move that follows months of German lobbying in Washington.
The delistings of Shadi Abdalla are a victory for Germany, which values him as a key informant against other militant suspects still on trial and has given him a new identity and placed him under police protection.
A UN website said he was only the fifth person, and the first in more than two years, to be removed from its list of militants whose assets all UN member states must freeze

Mr. RR has already contacted the "zone alarm" people. He was a bit upset (to put it mildly) when he found I spent two hours in a blizzard looking for Dad. It all came out well in the end....no harm, no foul. But Dad and I are still in the doghouse. French toast, sausage and snuggles should solve that problem in the morning. LOL!!
Life without adventure and chance is no life at all. IMHO.
Thanks for the ping!
WTOP.com (AP): Merrifield, Virginia - "MAN HAS FINGERS CUT OFF DURING ATTACK" (ARTICLE SNIPPET: " On May 10, a 16-year-old lost four fingers when he was attacked in the Alexandria section of Fairfax. Three gang members pleaded guilty to malicious wounding and violating Virginia's anti-gang statutes. Investigators believe that incident stemmed from a dispute between the MS-13 and South Side Locos gangs. Gangs are a growing problem in northern Virginia, which already has a joint federal, state and local task force working on it. The FBI estimates there are up to 2,000 MS-13 members in the area.") NBC4i.com: Columbus, Ohio - "COLUMBUS OFFICER ARRESTS PREVIOUSLY DEPORTED GANG LEADER" (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Officials said Nelson Flores, 34, of El Salvador, is the local leader of a violent Salvadoran gang that is active in Columbus. The gang is called MS-13, and law enforcement said it's not just one of the most violent gangs in Columbus, but also in the nation, NBC's Elenora Andrews reported. Police said they have tracked the gang to the far-north and east sides of Columbus and to the Whitehall area. Many of the gang members are trained in the military in El Salvador, then relocate to California and then to places like Columbus, Andrews reported. Police said Flores goes by the nickname "El Mula" and uses an alias of David Aguilar. "El Mula" is grammatically incorrect slang Spanish, officials said.") (Updated January 4, 2005) (Read More...)
FRONTPAGE MAGAZINE.com: "UNHOLY BORDER ALLIANCE" by Erick Stakelbeck (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Mara Salvatrucha, also commonly known as 'MS-13' due to its members' proclivity for sporting tattoos of the number 13, is involved in a smorgasbord of illegal activity, including the smuggling of drugs, weapons and people across the Mexican border. The gang controls many of the smuggling routes from Mexico into the U.S., a fact that has not escaped Al-Qaeda operatives eager to carry out attacks on American soil. In July, Adnan El-Shukrijumah, a high-ranking Al-Qaeda leader and one of the most wanted terrorists in the world, was spotted in Honduras meeting with members of MS-13. Attorney General John Ashcroft has said that El-Shukrijumah, who he has described as a 'clear and present danger to America,' is seeking ways to infiltrate the U.S. via the Mexican border, and is willing to pay top dollar in order to do so.")
