I thought about buying one of their wagons a few years ago until I saw the $25,000 sticker price... for a compact wagon! At that price I could buy a MUCH nicer car from a company that doesn't cater to the fudge packers.
I remember their ads featuring "Crocodile Dundee" and it never crossed my mind what he meant about exploring "The Outback". And how much he could load in the rear of it. And how it held on no matter how bumpy the road.
Hopelessly naive! I never caught on!
I've owned 2 Subarus since 1980. The 80 model lasted 125000 miles and the 1990 AWD wagon now has 212000 and still going. Still would buy another one regardless of their adv market.
