When I think about what you guys are doing for us and the sacrifices you're making for the millions of American faces you will never see, I can only hope that you believe me when I say that no matter what you may hear on the American news channels or read in some of the newspapers most of us really do appreciate what you are doing and why you are there. We believe you're making a difference that matters. We will wait for your safe return. Merry Christmas to you all.

Your hardships, sacrifices and endurance do not go unnoticed, nor unfelt, on this forum. We all understand, in our own puny way, the extremely difficult duty you have behind and before you. We wince at every news bulletin from Iraq, eyes closed, hoping that it's not bad news. Be assured that you soldiers and marines are never far from our thoughts and are always in our prayers. You men and women are proof that America's greatest generation just doesn't happen once, but is in every American when they put on her uniform.
Keep your head down and "out". Come home safe.

Thank you for the report, martywake. If you listen to our media, you would never know that there is a growing fellowship and cooperation between our soldiers and the Iraqi soldiers. We are so proud of you and all that you do. I grieve for those lost and for their families. You are right. When God chooses to call us home, we must go. Please be careful and stay safe. Our prayers are with you.
God bless. Your family must be so very worried and sad that you can't be with them this Christmas. God bless them as well.
