Kerry Jumps Into Ohio Recount
Unnamed Sources | 12/23/2004

Posted on 12/23/2004 9:55:38 AM PST by Lazamataz

John F. Kerry has indicated through sources close to the Democrat party that he intends file papers supporting the Green Party/Libertarian Party recount effort in Ohio.

Kerry's filings will consist of a request for expedited discovery as it pertains to a voting machine system known as Triad Systems, and secondly, a motion for a preservation order to preserve evidence in the same matter. These filings are to be made in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Rep. John Conyer of Michigan and the ranking minority member of the House Judiciary Committee, has plans to ask the Federal Bureau of Investigation and a county prosecutor in Ohio today to explore "inappropriate and likely illegal election tampering" in at least one and perhaps several Ohio counties.

This follows the delivery of a sworn affidavit provided by the Hocking County deputy director of elections, Sherole Eaton, in which she alleges that a representative of Triad Governmental Systems, the Ohio firm that created and maintains the vote-counting software in dozens of Ohio counties, made several adjustments to the Hocking County tabulator last Friday, in advance of the state's recount, which is taking place this week.

I said it right after he conceded. He conceded for public show. His attorneys, maybe hundreds of them, have been working in the background to find a way to steal the election. Even though the electoral college has voted, this one may actually be decided by Congress, which is fortunately in our control.

I thought she won.......

Actually, the Dems lost all three attempts to use the 2000 election controversy to win an election. That was kind of the point..

A better construction of that is "Time flies like the wind; Fruit flies like bananas"

Its kind of been a forum sig trope since there have been forums, so you might have trouble copyrighting something already in the public domain ;)

Ha, ha....It will come to nothing, in the end, but oh, how I hope this is true and the Dims go all out with this smarmy, deluded effort. It will serve to focus the American people's attention on the base swinishness of the Dimocrat party in a way that can only redound to the benefit of the GOP; the filthy, rotten core at the heart of liberalism will be further illuminated for the entire country to see--and by the hand of the Left's own scummy efforts and activities, to boot.

The 2004 election and it's sweet aftershocks just keeps getting better and better for conservatives and our cause.

Speaking of that, does that actually impact his electoral total? Or do they simply divine the electoral votors 'intent?'

It is kind of up to the Congress. I think they will overlook it. It is possible the New York will resubmit the ballots with the proper name.

I'm with you, Doug. I read articles before the election, from Kerry people, describing the legal strategy they were going to use "so we wouldn't have another Florida".

Part of that strategy was "shaping public opinion", something they felt Gore did not do in 2000. Another part was "never giving up". Kerry's, or anyone's concession was not legally binding, there is no mention in the Constitution or the Federal Code of what to do if one candidate concedes.

All these people, all these lawyers, all these "journalists" are not spending this effort and millions of dollars for nothing, they intend to get results. Whether the results are Kerry in the White House or the American people losing trust, they win.

I do not think this will end up with a Kerry win, but will certainly stir up mud and bad feelings.

"More importantly, how can I profit off the DUmmies!"

A: Go make a blog posing as a "concerned Republican insider" and say that you have documented evidence as to election fraud. Then say that you're ready to release it but you fear for your life.

B: Tell them that if you had the funds you would set up a series of servers nationwide to release the information simultaneously. This way Rove and his agents couldn't possibly stop them all before word got out to the public.

C:Then tell them that you'll need enough money to disappear for a long time afterwards because the evidence you have is just that damaging.

B: Sit back and watch the DUmmy cash flow.

Well you never know if they're bitin' till you put a worm on the hook and drop it in the water!

Actually, I'm like the Chinese. I stole it from someone else and claimed it was my invention.

Exactly--since the "ghosts" of FL have now been rested, the dems are going to try to use the "bloody shirt" of OH at least until 2008. It won't make much of a difference, it'll only matter to a small portion of the rabid, angry, paranoid hard-left. Most other Americans will vote on other issues.

Look. As long as we're on the topic, what do you do with 4,500 dead emus?

And will you invite me when you detonate them?

I'd like to ask the FBI to explore "inappropriate and likely illegal election tampering" in Cook County, IL.

Ahhhh. You know about my little plan?

Yes, of course you will be invited Laz, along with a number of other FReepers.

But let's keep a lid on it, OK?

I mean we wouldn't want some DU troll reporting this to some PETA type, would we?

It might ruin the surprise.

What I find laughable is the technician replicated what he did to the satisfaction of the interested parties the other day and that the person who filed the affidavit has stated that the document is being mischaracterized.

Anyhow, the vote is certified and the recount has been completed. This is over.

I have no idea why Kerry would file an action like this five minutes past midnight, so to speak. Either this story is a bit distant from the truth, or they're incompetent, or just plain nuts.
