Physics question concering what type of artifical gravity, if any, is generated by a 60 second rotation for a small circumference like that.

There's no evidence that the speck is moving under its own power. The orbit is constantly changing

They need to get their story straight.

Uhhh. Notice the original article is from September, 2002.

Also notice the animation of the orbit ENDS in Feb. 2003.

Feb. 1, 2003 was the latest Shuttle disaster.

I'm guessing that's when it invaded NASA headquarters and took over.

Sept. 20, 2002: Something odd is circling our planet. It's small, perhaps only 60-ft long, and rotates once every minute or so. Amateur astronomer Bill Yeung first spotted the 16th magnitude speck of light on Sept. 3rd in the constellation Pisces. He named it J002E3.

Was it ever determined what the object from that 2 year old report actually is?

From the animation it looks like the orbit is closing in on an earth intercept not to far out in the future

Never fear! It was only a flying Devil Cat, but alert Russian peasants lured it to the ground today and killed it!

Winged Cat “From Hell” Put to Death in Central Russia
Created: 29.07.2004 12:06 MSK (GMT +3), MosNews

"A winged cat has been killed by villagers near the Central Russian city of Kursk. The locals drowned the deformed puss after believing it was a messenger of Satan, the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper reports.

"On entering her yard, Nadezhda Medvedeva saw how a stray cat stood up and, just like a chicken, stretched out two wings. She said that at that moment her hair stood on end. The locals had no doubt the unlucky cat was a messenger of the devil, the Vlasti.net website writes."

My seven-year-old was looking over my shoulder at this thread and said "What's with all the sassy girls pictures? What't that thing drawing on the screen? That looks like something in an almost eliptical orbit moving around the Earth.."

I'm having to watch that child closer....
